This week Becky's Grandfather died and yesterday Bruce and my Uncle Lars died. Becky's Grandfather lived a life rich enough for a half dozen people (and I don't mean with money). My Uncle Lars had a rich life (and I do mean money! :D ) and he seemed quite happy when I knew him.
Anyway, just a reminder to have a great life during the time that you have.
Judge Brennan and Margaret the Librarian, both who worked in the same building as me, died this week. They were both "young," in their 40s or 50s; both died unexpectedly of heart attacks.
Judge Gage used to tell me, "No one, on their death bed, ever thinks, 'I wish I had spent more time at the office.'"
None of us are guaranteed another day. Try to make today count for something.
Yep!
That's why i was so happy just to get DFL at the IceBowl! I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to play (due to back injury). Jay asked me, while I was [trying to] run up the steep snow bank, how my back was feeling, I was able to say "GREAT!!" Plus, I got to play 18 holes with Danny.
Death is all around us, but life continues to burst forth without fear.
