Title: Fields of Green - West Chicago - August 4th
Post by: acesandchains on July 31, 2013, 10:59:17 AM
C-tier tournament. Two rounds of 18 holes each. All divisions welcome.

There's a tournament in West Chicago this year! This will be the first PDGA sanctioned tournament at Kress Creek Farms in West Chicago.

Pre-registration is highly encouraged. By pre-registering, you help us run a smoother tournament. This is only a one day tournament, so it is likely to fill.

Pre-register at: http://www.acesandchains.com/node/793

Day of Registration (if spots are available) and Check-In will be between 8am-9am. Please check in when you get there.

Please note that the parking lot is not the biggest. If you can carpool, please do so. If everyone drives separately, there is no way the lot will hold everyone.

Players meeting will be held at 9:15am. Tee off at approx. 9:30am

Course was in good shape when I walked it a few days ago.

It still shows me as registered for this tournament, but I'll be in Costa Rica. Thanks!

I am making hole 5 an island hole to spice it up a bit. Seemed a bit boring just sitting there in the field. ;?)    It won't be a crazy island hole like at The Wild West, but it will at least add some difficulty to an otherwise ho-hum hole.

I also plan to add a temp hole between 4 and 5 to eliminate the long walk. It will be a short 200' island hole as well. Tee off will be from the sign post pointing to hole 5. Tee off and island are both marked as of today.

We will definitely use the long tee on hole 6 for the second round. I've marked in paint the spot to tee off from if anyone wants to practice it. I love bombing it down that hill, and making it just a little longer adds to the fun.

Pre-registration list has been updated.

I also want to mention that there is construction on Joliet Road. The only way to get to the course is from Route 59. You cannot get thru from Route 38 (Roosevet Rd.) So if your coming from that direction, get on 59 going south and turn on Joliet Road.

Walked the course today and all the tee pads look good. Amazingly dry. Everything is ready to go for tomorrow.
