Post by: myndcraft on November 21, 2002, 12:31:59 PM
has anyone ever thrown one of these and if so what are your thoughts. I saw one the other day and picked it up on a whim (it looked so damn pretty)

I'm lame I know....

The plastic is very different in the 2 disc but they are from the same mold.  I was told that as the disc cools some plastics expand more.  The DGA disc is a little wider and sharper then the hawk.  It goes about 20 feet farther then my Roc, but very unpredictable in the wind.  On a calm day I can use it for any shot.

I just saw the Steady Ed Memorial disc for sale online for $20 each.  I have a few extra disc that I bought for sale for $10 each.  5 of them are yellow and were not available at the event. I'm donating 12 disc and all the money will go to pay for expenses to run SEWisconsindiscgolf.org .

The DGA Hawkeyes in the player packages at the Steady Ed tourney are actually Hawks.  I know it's not the Z plastic, but the regular version is a pretty good control mid range disc.  They seem to hold pretty much whatever line you put on them.
