ive always enjoyed playing this course

its one course where when someone says stay
out of the rough  stay out of the rough  (IN THE SUMMER)

wasnt that bad yesterday
fairways were cut,  little wet but it usually is

practice basket by parking lot  (#13 sign )

17  &  15  baskets missing
stolen or maintainance    ??????

not a lot of garbage  but if i see someone shotgunning
bud light  im going to throw a disc at them because i found at least
5-8 bud light cans   like 5 feet away from garbage cans
if you cant put the can in the garbage how do you think you re
going to make your putts   (you putz)

smokers  - tee pads are NOT ashtrays
"glad im not one due to CANCER and rising costs"

let me know what you think of the pictures
i tried to do it right and in order
ill edit them friday when i go back to work

played one round of disc then went back and took the pix
ran out of battery power on  17   and had to go back to the car to
get fresh ones  ooops

If you have not been to Channahon in a while it is looking great. Cement tee pads have been poured. Frank Grimes continues to work on this course & make it better. There have been a few minor modifications to make the course tougher. The built up wall on #14 is sweet.

Again I have been blazing my way through the area courses and i would like to say that this course is beautiful! Nice work frank!

The wall on 14 is nice but when will the TEE be placed up above? Is that the plan?

I think that might be a tourney position only. We played it round 2 in the Channahon Classic last fall.

Everyone make sure to say 'thanks' to Frank when you see him this weekend!

Frank was struggling a bit at Jericho Lake this past weekend.  At one point he exclaimed dejectedly "I could have been cutting grooves in concrete today"   (He recently poured 4 more long pads at Channy)

The course is in pretty good condition. Mud in some areas but very playable. There is quite a big of standing water in the woods. Hole 4 has water to the left & right of the fairway. Hole 6 has water to the left in the woods. Only bad shots go in the water  ;D.

Its good as long as there is not a lot of rain.  Frank and his helpers have been busy building up the basket on 11.  This will help with the spring floods/wet times of year.
