Not that I think anyone would show up by mistake,  :P , but the front page still lists the next mtg on sunday 6th at Pizza Hut.

And I still don't know where Al lives.

Who all is on the ballot for VP? If I am running against someone I'll type up a little something of my plans as VP--besides taking over as President if Comincioli gets assassinated.  :P

Unless someone is nominated at the meeting, you're running unopposed.

QuoteUnless someone is nominated at the meeting, you're running unopposed.
Well, just in case here's my platform in a nut shell:

I will continue to run and plan/help run disc golf events for the club. I will continue to seek opportunities to do disc golf demonstrations. I will fulfill the obligations of the President when Brett is unavailable. I will fulfill the obligations under the bylaws to the best of my ability. I would like to take a managed approach to the 2005 schedule for Discontinuum events and schedule them all out in late 2004. With that in mind I would also like to push our state PDGA coordinator into having a state wide meeting (virtual or otherwise) to do tournament scheduling in late fall.

Thank you for your support!

I am going to try to make it but here's the skinny.

If I go home first then drive there I will very definately be late. My train doesn't get me back to Crystal Lake until 6:00 or 6:15.

I can take the train to gurnee or something if someone wants to pick me up. Problem then though is I would need a ride to my car acctually. So since Brett is the closest thats kinda your call :D

I'm going to look into taking half-day, but I don't think the chances of it happening are good.

Unfortunately, Iget out of work around 6 that night, so i won't be able to play a round before the meeting.  Other than that, I plan on being at the meeting either on time, or maybe fashionably late.  Mirth, I'll be bringing some Spotted Cows with me.  Hope you don't mind.  I'm sure it won't get to messy.

I've never played Palatine, and really haven't heard much about it.

Buffalo Grove is pretty short, but good practice. Think there is one hole where you have to stretch the arm out but the rest are roc/putter holes.

Mundelein is just a field, hole 1 and hole 9 are the most challenging. I play here alot for tourney prep. Great mid-range practice, no doubt. Not many obstacles.

Libertyville is the best of the previous in my opinion. Of course it's my home course, but it's not that great. I would say it's one of the best 9 hole courses in the area. Mostly long holes with obstacles except 8 and 9 which I believe are both under 250.

Ohhhhhh I was starting to think that the owner of bagtag #2 was just a myth. I'm up for a round at Adler if you're down. I have whimpy 'ol 23

I can if The D can tell me where he lives. Give me a phone number also so I can give you a call when I'm getting close. I'm going to have to leave the meeting around 9:15 because Becky works and I don't want to leave the kid at home alone at night. Hopefully we'll be done by then.

Minor corrections please:
I DID thank the WPD, the club did not.
I also helped to coordinate and implement the removal of holes, the club did not.
The WPD formally asked if I would continue to work with the WPD in any future designing/redesigning; I accepted.
I will be happy to pass along future info to the club about Twin Lakes DGC.
Thanks,
Jim Klem

Stanley, as far as I can tell, you are not a member/representative of the club, and I don't recall meeting you anywhere.  I do know a man named Jim Klem, who had some problems with the club recently, did do all the things you are claiming to have done.  If this is Jim, please kindly go away.  You didn't want anything to do with the club, and personally, right now, I want nothing more to do with you.  If this is not Jim, please stop taking credit for his work.  He did a lot for that course and deserves all of the credit, at least, that's what he told me.

QuoteI DID thank the WPD, the club did not.
I apologize. I probably should have stated it this way.

Jim Klem notified the club via the club message board that he had not formally thanked the Wildwood Park District as a representative of DISContinuum Disc Golf Club.

Jim Klem did thank the Wildwood Park District and so did many others. As head of the project & rep of DISContinuum, he did not formally thank the park district on behalf of DISContinuum.

DISContinuum Disc Golf Club will be formally thanking the Wildwood Park District at an upcoming board meeting.
