Title: Pro Line Beast
Post by: CEValkyrie on January 24, 2003, 07:57:45 AM
Anyone throw this disc yet? I can't wait. I actually resisted buying one while I was at the Ice Bowl. I think i'm going to like it but wanted to see what someone else thought. I love valks & throwing firebirds more & more. I guess the Beast is a cross of Valks & Firebirds.

Threw this disc Sunday for the first time in league play. Really like the predictabilty of this disc. Hit the top of the basket on #5 & it didn't even scratch it. That new pro line plastic is HARD.

Jay, try a kc eagle if that is what u want.   IMO the DX beast is better then the proline, also cheaper.  I'm getting about 30 of them with the Sewidiscgolf.org logo  coming in a 3 weeks.

Um, well I have seen Shawn throwing a DX Beast, and I think Jim was maybe throwing one too. From reading the PDGA boards most people seem to like them. Seems though there are some stability variances in the colors, so you might get something flippy or something more like the FBs. All in all though most reviews have been favorable, and I can't wait to get my hand on one as well!

Brett (or anyone for that matter)

After you've thrown it a bit more tell me what you think of it. What's its resistance to turnover and how much does it fade back at the end?

I'm looking for something with the turn over resistance of firebird (well close to it anyways) but less fade at the end.

Hmmm I'll give that try Shawn. I remember when I first started throwing though that I couldn't throw an eagle for the life of me *shurgs* I could almost throw my putter farther.

Anyways been a long time since then so who knows :-)

I will have a few beasts at The Fun Ice Bowl, although I can never keep track of what plastic is called what, so I couldn't really tell you if its pro line without getting them out of the box and going to Innova's web site.
