Hello disc golfers!

On behalf of the Palatine Park District and Walgreens of Palatine, I'd like to invite you to the 2nd Margreth Riemer Open Disc Golf Tournament! We've got a great event planned this year. See below for details:

Date: 6/15/2014
7:30-9:00 am: Check-in
9:15 am:  Player's Meeting
9:30 am: Round 1 begins
1:00 pm: Round 2 begins

Entry fees by division (PDGA member)

Pro/Open (Men's Women's, Masters, Grandmasters
$35
Advanced (Men's, Women's, Masters, Grandmasters) $30
Intermediate $30
Recreational $25
Novice $20
Juniors III (<= 13 yrs during calendar year) $10



Open Divisions: 100%+ payouts
Men's Advanced Division: 100%+ prize payout

What does your entry fee get you?

•Players Packs brought to you by Aces and Chains, Walgreens, and 7-11. The first 50 amateurs to register will receive a Player's Pack consisting of a Custom Stamped Glow Champion Shark disc along with other assorted goodies.

• Closest to Pin Prizes brought to you by Gateway Disc Sports. All amateur divisions will have the opportunities to win discs on select holes. A total of ten CTP discs will be up for grabs!

• Ring of Fire Contest Brought to you by 7-11 of Palatine, Walgreens, Gateway Disc Sports and Crosslap Disc Golf for opportunities to win gift certificates, discs, and gear!


Other ways to win at the event

•We will be raffling off a DGA Mach Lite Basket! $2 per ticket, $5 for three tickets. Proceeds on the basket will go directly back into payouts
• Ace pot $1 entry
• 50/50 CTP $2 entry

Thank you in advance to our tournament spotters from the Palatine Rugby Club, and to American Chartered Bank for supplying us with water bottles for players.

Also, if you know any golfers that are still learning the game, there will be a FREE instructional clinic on Saturday, June 14 from 1:00-2:30 (the time in the flyer attached above is incorrect).

Instructing this clinic will be 2011 Amateur World Champion Ken Glassman. I am excited to see Ken's approach to the game and to hear what he has to say!

I hope to see some Discontinuum club member attending. Josh and the Park District put on a fun event last year and with the new tee pads the course is improved.

Did they change the time on Saturday for the clinic? When sign up today they said 1pm?

Excellent question. The clinic is scheduled for Saturday June 14 at 1:00 p.m, so it sounds like you were told correctly. There have been a few time changes that have not been reflected on all flyers that got distributed (including the one I linked to here), so my apologies for any confusion!
