I see that this will probably be the first Illinois tournament I can play. I'm a little surprised to see no discussion of it considering its proximity to Chicago. Any idea if it will fill?
I was planning on going. I have a feeling this tournament will fill. It's a new & nice course so it could be packed. It's about 1.5 hour drive from the north burbs where we are.

I didn't realize they had a sanctioned date and an unsanctioned date. I don't have a flyer in front of me, I was just looking at the PDGA site. I was just being ignorant, but I'm up to speed now.
And still looking for a PDGA event to play that weekend. I can't run a PDGA event EVERY weekend! ;)

Spuds,
Thanks for the link. I got to play a round there today. What a great course! I'm really impressed! For some reason, people had me concerned about the quality of courses in the area but this one rocked! I can't wait to play it again!
Anyway I can get a bag tag at the event on Saturday?

had not play 54 holes in a long time
Tell us about the tournament Brett. How did you do? How did the TD do?
The Lumber Cup was a pretty well run tournament on an awesome course (54 holes is a tiring day). Brett and I were tied for 1st after the 1st round so we were on the lead card together in the afternoon which was alot of fun for both of us. We both had some tough times in the 2nd round and Brett ended up 3rd and I took 6th. Once again Pat Blake took the win. I would definitely like to go back there again next year though as Mokena is a very fun course.
It was a fun day. Each round of 27 holes took about 3 hours with a 3-some on the majority of the holes. There were 37 advanced players. I thought I had a shot to win it but I got on the bogie train with 6 holes to go. Bogied 4 of my last 6 holes and ended up losing by 2 to Blake. I ened up tied with 2 other players & had to play a sudden death playoff. One of the players was eliminated on the first hole & then 2 holes later I bogied & it was 3rd Place. Bingman shot -11 on the day & took #3 tag & I got his #5. Dan kept #19 & I believe Nasty kept his #43.
Steve, sorry I missed you after the round to get you a bag tag. Maybe leagues sometime or Crystal Lake next Sunday?
what did nasty shoot
My fault Brett, I got an unexpected message during the second round and had to run. I plan on hitting Lombard this Wednesday and maybe Crystal Lake next Sunday.
Anyone feel like showing me around the Lombard course before the doubles? 4:30 or so?
