Title: Looking for a Course near Skokie IL
Post by: Capone on July 09, 2004, 01:14:34 PM
I am going to be working in Skokie for 3 days in a couple of weeks and I was wondering if there are any courses that are around that area.  Any info would be nice I am not that familiar with the area.

Thanks

Hey Capone,

I work in Skokie, here's a list of area courses closest to the main Skokie ZIP code:
http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_stat...S&Search=Search (http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_state.php?admin=&SearchZip=60077&SearchCity=&SearchState=&SearchCountry=UNITED+STATES&Search=Search)

I've played two of the closest ones, South Park and Fink Park. South park is pretty flat and short (250' holes) but there are lots of mature trees around the course. Hole #9 is located at the top of this 30' high sledding hill.

Fink Park is also pretty flat with some old trees. This one has longer holes, a couple are in the 300-350' range.

If you want to get together for a noontime round or something, you can send me an email by using the e-mail link below this post.

Thanks for the info I will probably try to find Fink Park, it seem to be about 10 miles from where I will be working.

Thanks again.

Fink Park is very easy to find. Take the Edens expressway (Interstate 94/Hwy 41) North and get off on Clavey. Take Clavey East about three blocks and the entrance to the park will be on the left. The course is all the way in the back of the park, take the road to the parking lot.
