August Club Meeting

BYO drinks, brats will be grilled by yours truly.
Perhaps one or two people might be willing to volunteer to bring side dishes... chips, veggies, stuff like that.
Feel free to come by early & use my backyard for driving/putting practice. If enough people come with temp baskets we could have a 3-4 hole course easy.
Latenite glow catch with orbies will likely follow.

Certainly! I'd love to give you #51!
I'm still taking classes on Wednesday nights. If my schedule permits, I can make up the day at one of my instructors other classes. I'll take a look. I'll be in touch.
Please let me know if you're planning on attending the meeting, that way I have an idea how many brats I need to get...
u know i'll be there baby. get that orbie working.

the 25th is the last class in this session. I don't want to miss it. We don't have class the following week (Sept 1). If you guys reschedule, I'm there! LOL
As of right now, I'll be there.
Myk: Care to carpool?
I'm gonna be driving down from Milwaukee, and I won't get to leave there til about 6 or so, so I'll probably be a little late to the meeting. If you still want to hitch a ride, I'd be down for it. Could use the company, too.
Just a reminder, club meeting tomorrow night.
So, as of now here's the anticipated attendance (for food purchasing purposes...):
Me
Wife & kid
Brett
Myk
Dan
Jay
Serg?
Damon?
Jon, you coming?
If the weather doesn't allow for meeting on the deck, and at this point its looking that way, I figure we can meet in the garage and I can move the grill from the deck to the edge of the garage for grillage.
Those of you with laptops and wireless cards will be able to access the Internet using my next door neighbor's wide open AP which is located adjacent to my garage.
Dinner will be brats. Sausages & buns are provided, please bring your own beverages (I have liquor for making mixers) and maybe a couple folks could bring some side items such as chips or something along those lines....

:P
Just playin, damon.
I will be there. I am bringing my Crystal Z Challengerby, which I finished modifying last night, in the hopes we'll be able to play a little night catch after the meeting.
modifying?
Quotemodifying?
To change it from a Challenger to a Challengerby. I added 4 lights to it. We'll see if it still flies.

I'll be bringing something from the Chef Solutions line. Probably potato or macaroni salad.
I hear your potato salad is pretty good....
QuoteI hear your potato salad is pretty good....
We make about 50 different kinds, so there's a sporting chance that we make one that any one person will like. :D
Put Maddisen down as an attendee and a brat eater.

yeah, I know. Talk is cheap, but I only made it last time by leaving work early, and with taking so much time off lately I can't afford it <_<

Probably two.
Not going to be able to make it there. I haven't been at my house for the past two days...my cats are ruining the house! I'm going to look over the agenda and see if I have any comments/suggestions about anything. I'll PM/email them to someone.
I scored a tub of loaded potato salad and a tub of italian ziti salad. See you at Mirth's for those of you going!
Allan S., Brett C., Dan M., Myk D., Jon B., & Maddisen B. in attendance.
The potatoe salad was awesome & the brats were great. Some good food. Thanks Mirth, Jon, & Dan for bringing stuff.
We had a blast playing catch with the orbie & modified challenger in the dark. We'll probably stick to the challenger since you can bomb it. Mirth has a great back yard for throwing. We'll probably be meeting in September & October at Mirth's house as long as his wife allows. It's been great hanging out and having good food then fun afterwards. Please feel free to come by even if you can't get there right away. We didn't start until 8pm tonight.
Agenda
08/25/04
1. Finances/Club Stock
The club is financially steady & has finally recovered from last year. Mirth can give the exact #'s but we have over $600.00 in the bank account & the club stock of discs.
2. Website Statistics (Record in July)
The web has been very active. 3 straight record setting months and probably another in August. We are getting many hits from the PDGA pages from both links from club member posts and the course pages from Streamwood, Crystal Lake, & Fairfield. Hopefully we can get the Bevier page done & i'm going to try to get Adler done as well this fall. Please help support events by posting on the PDGA board and adding links to your messages or signature.
3. Membership (43 Members) & Bag Tags (52 Bag Tags)
4. Fairfield Fairwell.
Tee pads are in great shape. Brett & Dan checked them tonight. Spotters & volunteers are needed both days.
If the Ace Pool is not hit, it will rollover to the DISContinuum Blast!
5. DISContinuum Blast.
Basket A is in the ground as of today. All 6 temp baskets have been located. Thanks to everyone for lending their baskets. Brett is bringing 3 baskets. We are trying to figure out how to get the other 3 baskets from Kenosha to Bevier for the weekend. Brett is going to be measuring the temp & safari holes. He has also painted blocks that will be installed to mark holes A, B, & C. The other holes will be marked by flags & painted.
6. Looking ahead to 2005. Bag Tags & Schedule.
Bag tag discussion. There will be a discussion thread started. Schedule briefly discussed.
7. Club shirts.
Myk is awaiting the final approximate cost of the logo. Once the final costs are determined, preorders will be taken and sent in ASAP. I can't wait!!!!
8. Other topics?
Tag holder event.
Widdershins discussion
After a smooth meeting we adjourned to the Discontinuum Night Flyers air show. We had 3 Orbies and a Challengerby out there tonight. It was fun to high degree and the Challengerby exceeded my expectations.
If you can't make it for the meeting you should come out for the Night Flyers action after the next meeting. Once we start having meetings after Sunday league again we will have to figure out a time for the some night flying fun also.
*points to face* See this? it's my pissed off face. I didn't leave work until ohh about 6:20 last night because my boss is a moron. Sorry I didn't return your call Mirth I didn't notice it until this morning as I left my phone at work. Tonight I'm going to end up being here late again *make a more pissed off face*
