Womens Nationals website (http://www.illinoisdiscgolf.com/04womenschampionship/)
This is the website for 2004 Womens Nationals coming up at the end of September. It is a 3 day women only disc golf fest! This is my 3rd trip and I'm psyched! I'm preregistered and on the confirmed list on the website. My motel reservations are made! Guys tell the ladies in your life that this is a great way to meet more women in the sport and have a good time! Get a few friends together, share a motel room and have a great 3 day weekend :) The only guys there are the helpful Peoria Frisbee Club staff who are scorekeepers and guides to the courses B) Be sure to register before the deadline on the website so you can get a players pack!
Either I've been conscripted as a member of the helpful Peoria Club or I have been promoted to chick status! :D
I would agree that this is the coolest tournament for women. If your wife or girlfriend plays some and plays an occasional tournament, encourage her to attend this event while you take care of the kids or whatever else needs taking care of in her absence.

I was thinking the same thing.
maybe i should become a member of the helpful Peoria club. I saw some of the pro women at worlds :D
Bruce, Jon, and the other supportive hubby/significant others-I'm sorry I forgot to include you in my promotion of the Womens Nationals. Yes, there are supportive male counterparts there that aren't part of the PFC but they allow us women to have fun while they take care of the kids. It's a family weekend that puts us first :)
Another thing: I went to the site today and they've added Pro Master and Advanced Master :) They're branching out! B)
Dan, if you want to come down and help out, I think it would be appreciated but watch the flurting. I've seen those women throw discs pretty fast....they've buzzed a few over Jon's head! :o
They've opened up Pro Master and Master for 2004 USWDGC! Maybe this will bring in a bigger draw ;)

Who's going?
I AM! i can't do the next couple of tourneys around here due to work, but made sure to take the time off for it. levi and kvn will come too, but it's my weekend....
Cool! KVN and Levi are welcome as spectators! This is family friendly :)
Anyone else coming to this event? It's a great weekend :) I'm getting really excited about going. I think my favorite park is Bradley but I like Morton and Mc Naughton. Washington Park is just a lazy round-very short.
The list of pre-regs is growing. There are 2 pro master and 2 am masters :) Way cool! It's not too late to register! See the first post of this thread for the website info!
Three more working days until my USDGC vacation. I'll be playing Adler, Palatine, Buffalo Grove, and maybe even Mundelein to work out my arm for the end of the month ;) World Champion Kelsey Brakel is playing in my division :) I hope to play a round with her-maybe she can teach me something ;)

I learn by watching Kelsey play, and I learn more by talking about her disc and shot selection after the throw. Although she does not pull a lot of discs out of her bag and pantomime different throws, she goes through a lengthy thought process on every tee drive, fairway drive and approach shot.
Her provisional ratings at Ludington include a couple of 830 rounds. I don't know whether Paul J. did the necessary tricks to get good provisionals there but they look like it.
bumpity bump bump
:D :D :D
5 more days until the start of USWDGC. 4 days until I leave :) I'll be playing Morton before lunch on Thursday morning :) I'm really looking forward to the challenge.
3 days....
I'm off to Morten! See you all next week!
Good luck! Have fun playing those great courses!
have fun at women's nationals! i love those courses, which is why the peoria open haunts me nightly  feel free to give my phone# or email to any disc golfers down there B)
