Just wondering if anyone is intrested in these Gateway is selling misstamps and ones with slight blemishes for $4 a piece. The majority of them are in "H"plastic and there may be a few "S", "E", and "H/E" in there too. Not sure on the weights though.
We would need to prolly order about 25 or so though to get the price. So is anyone interested?
I'll take 5 if they are under 170
I have dibs on anything in the 157-160 range :-)
From the Gateway web site about their plastic.
QuoteOur "S-series" or matted version of our discs is a high end version of the "dx" or "d" plastic of our competitors. This type of polymer offers a firm solid feel, grippy surface, and is great in the rain or extreme heat. The "S-series" allows the disc to break in slowly without changing the flight characteristics after just a few hits.
The new "H-series" is a smooth shiny blend of polyesters formulated by DuPont engineers for our discs golf discs. Its characteristics included awesome abrasion resistance, resiliency, memory, and bright vivid colors. The smooth surface allows for greater speed as well as a longer glide. The polymer is very grippy and flexible even I extremely cold weather.
Our pro-line polymer is called the "Evolution series". Gateway Golf Discs have evolved into the front runner in polymer technology with these new polymers. The Evolution series polymer, a TPU from BASF, has a surface durometer of 60 D-shore. It is almost scratch, scuff, dent, crack, and chip proof. The durability is as good as any plastic on the market. The smooth surface and low profiles make each model a little faster than the "H-series" while still very comfortable in your hand.
So whats this mean??
Quote-Speed Demon in the "S" plastic are the fastest of them all and also the straightest right out of the box. They will also get broken in easier wich will allow you to throw them Higher when they do.
-The heavier weighted "H" and Evloution Speed Demons will work best when thrown 5-10 feet off the ground and not much higher or they will be very overstable.
Hope that helps.
Go Gateway!
I love Gateway plastic :-) The Sabre and Wizard own!
Let me try the one Pat has on Sunday and I'll let you know.
I'll take two, please, as long they are in the 166-172 range (168-170 would be awesome). I don't know enough about the plastic Gateways uses to remember which version is which. Got a quick refresher you can set me up with?
QuoteHope that helps.
If no one has told you this lately Jay, you rock! Thank you, this is just the info I was looking for.
