The original concept for this tournament included that you had to have played or run an R-tier in 2004 to be eligible to compete at this event, which is why we R-tiered the Blast.  Now you only have to be a 'gator.  If you are a few rounds shy of 'gatorhood, it is not too late.

'scuze the ignorance, but...a "'gator"?

Hey, someone had to ask.

I'm pretty sure this is the same place that was featured in a Milwaukee news paper a few months ago.  They owner of the area is trying to expand it to 5 courses, and then add in other amenities, like volleyball, horseshoes, etc.  Expanding it to make a resort type area.

The course layouts look both challenging and fun!  I could see heading up there for an extended weekend.

Not sure how long until the invites but anyone who played the Blast or No Foolin is supposed to get an invite.

We are going to camp.

I thought that they were going to be sent out in early March or late Feb.  I going to this instead of Worlds this year.  From talking to Pat Blake at the Big Chill, the courses sound awesome.

yeah dude, i think its gonna be a pretty cheap trip.  if u camp its only 5 bucks per night for a site.  and there is a lighted 9 hole disc golf course right in the campground.  definitely cheaper than vegas and its gonna be awesome.  i keep looking at the pics of the courses and they look incredible.  alot of elevation change.  the baskets look sweet.

It sounds like it won't be too difficult for people to get an invite.  I think most anybody with at least 8 rated rounds gets an invite.  So Airspuds, I'm sure you will get one.  I love the fact that this is right after 4th of july too, so i can just take the whole week off without using up hardly any vacation.

Perhaps we can throw ourselves a rejected party that weekend, Shawn.

I would imagine that it is going to be a lot like Worlds where people who weren't invited will have a chance to apply after the invitees have their chance.

Woohoo got an invite!

Did I read the information correctly...divisions are based on ratings? So, if you're invited into a particular division and your rating changes by the date of the event, you'll be moved into a new division.

I'll have to look more into this trip. Sounds like it could be a really good time.

i'd be willing to bet that most anybody who has 8 rated rounds in 2004 will be able to get into the tournament if they try.

This is what I'm thinking.  I thought that you had to have a total of 8 rated rounds, not 8 in one year.  Looks like I'll have to play more meaningful tournies this year.

I seriously doubt that I can go, so there's one open slot...  B)

I played in the Bevier blast in 2004.  Does that mean I'm exempt from being a gator.  I don't have 8 rated rounds, and I didn't see an invite.

Just asking, because I though Brett said that if we played in the Blast, we would get an invite.

No you need eight rounds before December.   I think that you will have a chance to get on the waiting list.

I thought everyone that played a ratings event in 2004 got an invite. I guess you have to have 8 rated rounds as well.

I would check the official site and send an e-mail to the contact there if there is one. Otherwise post on pdga and ask Chuck Kennedy. Were you a pdga member when you played the Blast? Some how they missed you.

Or maybe I'll buy a nice cot and camp anyway. I was looking at those camping rates...hard to pass that up!

I was at the Gotta Go Gotta Throw website and they have a nice 3 minute video on Highbridge.

THIS LINK (http://www.gottagogottathrow.com/av/HHSC-Intro1-video.wmv) should take you right to the video. It's a Windows Media document. Otherwise, go to the GGGT (http://www.gottagogottathrow.com/) site and the link is on the right side of the page.

If you like downhill shots, sometime you should get up to Boyne Mountain.  You take the ski lift up to hole one [or they drive you up in the truck] and eventually finish at the bottom.  There is some up and down in between but lots of down.

When Dan refers to downhill I am not sure whether he is describing a course condition or whether he is speaking in metaphor and describing his day. :P
