Changes for 2005
1. Slight modification to payout chart. I'll attach it on the next post.
2. Ace cap of $150.00 has been set.
3. Weekly playoff CTP has been moved & will be to #1's basket to speed up play.Still about a 150ft wide open shot. The tee will be located just north of the parking lot near the grills.
4. Playoff for overall points. If all of the players tied for a prize position are present, they will have a playoff starting at hole #1. If one of the players are not present, it will be awarded to the player present. If none of the players are present, there will be a skill game game via the phone.
5. Curb is out of bounds. Normal OB rules for PDGA play.

Dan Michler said he was donating $150.00 for this CTP next week :P .
JK-- It's 150FT.

sure its tought to throw in the snow, but it was still fun out there today even though only 8 people showed. not much wind. hopefully more can make it next week.
Week #1 results have been posted.
Bag Tags will be distributed next week. There are 27 2005 club members. It'll be interesting to see how many show up next week for the 1st round drawing of tags.

weather probably even better than yesterday too. Pat & I were the first ones to slog thru some of the temp holes at Dretzka (literally), so I was pretty burnt and slept in too late to make it today.
Too much real-life crap to take care of today too. Hope to make it next week. ;)
yeah i figured u would be tired after walking thru the snow all day at dretzka. i'll excuse u from 1 week of leagues damon :D
what I'd like to know is where jr was today.

I work Saturday night. I don't think I'll be there....unless I take a nap before the meeting. We'll see.

glad to see some of this snow melt. I frankly prefer throwing when it's near zero and relatively 'dry' to trying to throw out of drifts...
I have to agree with this. You can always put on more clothes. I stopped at Lippold in Crystal Lake today on my way back from Woodstock. I threw three holes in 8 inches of sopping snow and gave up. I guess one reason I left was it took me about 10 minutes to find your firebird. :( Don't fret, its ok.
I went by the park this morning to look for my DX Beast by #5. I found it in a huge puddle. There is quite a bit of water on the course. It should be interesting with the snow & cold temps coming today.

Cool! Maybe I'll get to try my special shot on #5, where I throw it 100 ft and then it slides 160 ft on the ice right to the pin.... :P
so will i need to bring duct tape and ribbons for sunday
any clue
Probably not. I don't think we're supposed to get much more than a dusting, and any existing snow will be frozen rock hard from the melt/rain and subsequent deep freeze.
Everyone ready for league on Sunday?!?
shoot, it won't be as cold as it was for that last week of fall leagues. Be There!!
Yer right. Bundle up and ready golf. I will be late for league but plan to toss a few with my daughter. Dont call DCFS.
oh my god its painful out there tonight. lets see how many crazy people we have tomorrow morning. its gonna hurt, thats for sure.
Good turnout today! Tom S. has gotten off to a hot start.
Week #3 results are up. Fun stuff today in the deep snow.

Great turnout today. Nice ace by Adrian Jr. on #4 for $92.00.
Don't forget to bring your donations for PADS next week. Club meeting to follow.
Congrats Adrian!
Was the weather rainy and windy down there?
Congrats indeed Adrian. I had put one under that basket while practicing and was juiced to play. However, I felt lousy (congested, sick etc.) and went home. It started to monsoon about ten minutes after I left. I was impressed with the scores because it was nasty all day. Was it as bad as it seemed from the car?
yes.
it definitely wasn't the most fun i've ever had :)
Week #6 results are posted.
Week #7 results will be posted sometime this week. Good turnout again this week. We are averaging 13 players for winter league so far.

Too bad spring doesn't start April 3rd! :D
i think it started today actually.
vernal equinox
Where is the damn spring weather!
Quotevernal equinox
I meant too bad spring weather doesn't start on April 3rd! Technically, of course, winter is from December 21st to March 21st. But in reality in this area winter is from the beginning of November until mid to late April...unsually.
