Jon, Bruce or anyone,
Why didn't the PDGA rate Saturday's second round of the 2004 Bevier Blast? It would have really helped my rating if they had counted it.

I'm not really sure Doug. I'm sending out an e-mail today.
OK, I got a reply.

It looks like you barely had 10 propagators and squeaked by with a first
round rating. However, if a prop shoots more than 60 pts below their rating, they
are excluded. It looks like Steve Cohn might have been dropped in the second
round. The props count dropped to 9 so the round wasn't calculated.
We're changing the minimum prop count to 5 starting with 2005 events so this
will be resolved down the road so more of the small market events and smaller
divisions can get more rated rounds. I can see whether Roger is willing to get
this second round included for the final 2004 ratings in mid-Feb.

I thought I had taken care of this a few months ago. They were going to waive their usual process and rate the event without the appropriate number of propagators. I keep lobbying to get that 2nd round rated.

This is excellent news, and should really help get a lot more int players into the rating pool on the 'Am days' of 2-day tournaments. I was really annoyed about this the past year.
Personally, the 2nd round of the Blast wouldn't help me, so don't bother. :P
I was pleasantly surprised to see that my rating didn't drop - my even-more-miserable IO round at Fairfield was one of the rounds that dropped out for me.
Congrats Brett on being #1 Am in Illinois!! Just think, your 1035 round at Fairfield is just below average for Barry.... ;)
actually it was 1037 which is now 1 point above avergage for barry.
what damon? no congratulations for being #12 in the state???

naw, crack the top 10 and we'll talk...
I haven't seen Waddingham in a few weeks now. If anyone sees him, tell him to join the PDGA this year. He played 4 PDGA events last year.
