Date and info coming soon!
ooohh. so mysterious.
lol
You don't have to include the Wild in the title this year. It won't be at Wildwood.
Oh thank god! I didn't want to say anything just in case. But thanks for clearing that up Jon :)
The event will held at Bevier Leagues. The name will still be the Wild Ice Bowl League Doubles Thang TWO.
When are we going to finalize the date?
dan you are such a smartass
aahahahaha, it's really an accomplishment to amuse an 18 year old :)
DATE-> 02/20/05
DISContinuum will be hosting an Ice Bowl again this year. We are making it simple & incorporating it into our doubles league again.
1. DISContinuum will be hosting our usual Winter Doubles League on 02/20/05 at Bevier Park. Fees will be the same as usual $6.00 + Optional $1.00 ACE & Cash CTP. For informaiton go to Leagues & Tournaments & find Winter League 2005. There is an attached document with all the information you will need about rules, payouts, & fees.
*The only difference from regular league is that it is mandatory that you bring some kind of canned item(s) for charity(PADS). We will be posting what item(s) PADS accept. *-> thus making this a charity Ice Bowl-> Wild Ice Bowl League Doubles Thang.
I'll be donating a few items again this year for CTP's. We will be playing 2 rounds of 12 holes at Bevier. I'm looking to have 12 CTP's again this year with 1 being the cash CTP. Last year we had 24 people attend. Let me know if you have anything to donate as a prize.

i got a white dx gazelle you can have.
Quotei got a white dx gazelle you can have.
cool! thank you.
Just to clarify:
Two rounds of 12 - are these back to back or is there a break?
Upper and lower pools with random draw?
Thanks.
It will be 2 rounds of 12 holes with no break. There will be upper/lower pools random draw & everything will run just like our regular leagues.
Yo, prez - when will you be posting the list of what PADS will accept?
No longer must I suffer under the dictatorship of The Comincioli Robot and his PADs accepting list ways!
Muahahha, FREEE!
;) lol

WIBLDT2 is on 02-20-05
Looks like we'll have 12 CTP's for this event.
I'd really like to come play, but my girlfriend is coming down this weekend. I tried to talk her into coming to play but she feels that she would just burden her partner. She hasn't played much this winter and her confidence is a little low sometimes because of it. Any suggestions (besides the one that suggests leaving her at home :P )
Our leagues are good for any skill level. We get newbies all the time. If you can't convince her that way, hire her as a caddy :D .
Just talked to her before I read this post.
I told her that there are newbies there and that seems to be working. She really wants to play more. I told her this is a good way to learn new things from new people.
Maybe I'll also add that we'll be going to Pizza Hut afterwards. Food and beer is always a good incentive!
Don't think she'll approve the caddy deal but I'll try :D
if she feels that she will affect her partner
have her offer to pay their fee
ive felt that there have been a couple of rounds i should have
payed for my partner due to my lousy play
just tell her I'll be there :o
Dan
glad to hear that you are volunteering to be her partner. I would have and would have just paid the $2 so we could play and not worry about any chance of being in the money. I am sure she would have carried me. Too bad, can't be there. Glad to know that you are going to play with her and promise to land her in the money.

I don't think anyone should ever feel like they should have to pay for their partners entry fee. If they do, then someone isn't playing for the right reasons.
yeah i'd agree with what jon said. there is never a need to apologize or feel bad or anything like that just cuz u may have not played as well as you might have liked. i think thats one of the inherent things that results from the upper/lower pool thing. i think some lower pool players might automatically feel insecure or inadequate and i know when i play the upper pool and don't play well, i might have a tendency to feel like i really let down my partner.
but then a few minutes later i say the heck with that, it was all my partners fault!!!!!
Now that was very well spoken, Dan. Didn't know you had it in you.
We will be playing holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, A3, 7, 8, B3, C2,& 9 both rounds.
A3 is the CTP for cash.
I'm close to having enough ctp's for the other 11 holes.
Club meeting to follow.
Thanks to all that donated CTP's! KVN L. won a sweet CFR Classic Roc.
Nothing like a little snow & rain. Thanks to all that helped clear the pads. Thanks Mike C. for the salt. That was a good idea with the buckets.
14 guys donated quite a bit of items for PADS. I'll post later with the amount.
Thanks to all that participated. It was fun.
$8.00 cash
35 canned items
few other food items
Bag of clothes & shoes
not bad for 14 guys!
it was wet :(
