Title: Plainfield
Post by: Dan Michler on December 30, 2004, 05:06:45 PM
This course has some decent long holes actually, but unfortunately 4 of the baskets are missing.  This course is way out of the way and on some rough terrain on a nature preserve.  I wouldn't recommend playing here.

This is a decent 9-hole course if all the baskets were there. It really sucks because different people donated the money for those baskets according to the tee signs. This course is in a weird location though. Don't play here until the baskets are in unless you like 5 hole courses.

Yeah, I thought this course was kind of lame.

Got there and the baskets everyone has been talking about the past two years are still missing.  A couple of the tee signs were missing as well.  The course wasn't laid out very intuitively, and the schematics for the holes were not drawn very accurately.  I wound up spending more time on this course trying to figure out where the correct baskets for the holes were than I spent playing golf.

On the positive side, I played this course after a heavy rain and there wasn't that much mud.  This course is nice for people that live around downtown Plainfield, but I wouldn't recommend it for people that live far away.
