what do you think are the most stable drivers (innova preferably) Midrangers, and putters?
I am still trying to put my sh!& together, and dont want to mess it up...
is it the cheetah and the aviar?
help!
Chris
I used to throw a shark for ~250ft anhyzers.
I agree with Shawn. I learned how to throw the wrong way & it took me only a few monthes of throwing a putter to improve my driving. I played today @ Parkside from the short tees. I threw a putter for 85% of the drives & shot -10. I'm learning more control & my game is improving.
If your new to the sport I would not suggest anything more stable then a candy eagle or a light 165ish firebird.
Learn how to throw a Roc. The Roc is the best thing to learn to throw. It can be used for any shot once you master it.
Short shots (under 225), any putter that feels good to you...
If you want to get good fast, get 4+ putters and practice throwing them far. Any flaw in your throw will be visible by the disc not going far. Learn how to make it go left, right and straight. I've seen guys throw a putter 350+ on flat ground....you should be able to do that in a few days with practice.
Chris, well as far as Gateway brand in concerned
Driver: Pick up a G1i Sabre(if getting two drivers also get a G1i Apache)
Midrange: G6i Demon
Putt & Approach: Wizard
I would also pick up a G9i Wizard, as this is my new favorite disc.
You cant rule out the Spider. Between that and my X-Storm, they are slowly taking the place of my Roc. Dont get me wrong, I love my Rocs, and keep 2 in my bag.
hey Y'all, Hope everyone had a good Sunday and everyone broke par....
I'm so sorry to be being so anal about my impending disc purchases, but I am so hyperfocus on this and Don't want to spend a bunch of cash on discs that I'm not going to be happy with.....
having said that, I found several places in the area that sell innova discs...albeit way expensive... Sports authority in Gurnee mills has 10 dollar discs, but all they have is birdies (putters, yes?) and gremlins...although they do have 16 dollar (Pardon if I'm wrong) CE discs that are kinda see through and tie dye looking, and of course there's a huge selection of those......and WALGREENS of all places in Glencoe has a HUGE selection (including discraft and gateways)...and I think in addition to my starter pack from HH's, I had these in mind, please tell me what you think....
I was thinking that a Tee Bird seems to be a very straight ultra long driver, very appealing to me for the straight and the ultra long, which really will just be long for me. ;) Then I was thinking about a Roc and a Shark for a straight mid range, and an aviar and a magnet putter... what does everyone think about that? remembering that I am innova focused...
y'all really are great and I do promise we'll meet for a round some morning, evening....in fact, I'm not working tuesday or wednesday night and could meet up to throw then, though I won't have discs yet.....
PEace, and happy Monday..
chris.
The Roc is, in my opinion the greatest disc ever.
I just bought a Shark, some guy from a tourney suggested I pick one up and give it a shot. I have yet to throw it-- Any comments?
