I actually tossed for the first time since November 7th..
Man it was weird! I am visiting Todds brother Scott at Eastern and we played Effingham which is about 30minutes away.
I deuced the first hole (stand and throw) and was very weary of my ankle. But after a couple throws I sort of let loose and everything stayed where it belongs
Real nice course with some sweet elevation changes and blind shots. I reccomend it if your in the area
You are better off going to Terra Haute, IN. It's about an hour from Eastern and anout 45 from Effingham.
The front 9 of Effingham are fun, however, the last nine you can tell that they struggled to fit them in.
Terra Haute's 18 holes that are with mature trees some elevation change and Scottie from the Flying Duecemen plays out there and he helps with course changes. The one drawback is that the baskets are the old mach two. Also during the summer there are a lot of chuckers that play the course.

Glad to hear you are on the mend, Diron

festival of lights
havent played terra haute
I played when they had the lights up. It was fun shooting around a nativity and other random Christmas articles.
I think that i have thrown into the yard on hole 14 I believe almost 25% of the time.
yeah Terre Haute ain't too bad. good elevation changes. haven't played Effingham as i don't believe it was installed til after i left Eastern. i will say that terre haute smells pretty bad sometimes for some reason :o i'll have to check out effingham sometime. i hope everything was kept legal down there though D-Train!!! your 18 buddy!

"ROADTRIP"
If you're in the area of Effingham, don't forget Carlyle and Centrailia, both sweet courses. Also, a new one going in at Coles Creek, the Army Core campground on Lake Carlyle.
why are all these courses put in as soon as i leave school there.
Effingham is your typical par 3 course. Front 9 was pretty good. Some decent up & down elevation shots. Back was a bunch of putter shots. This course had 3 or 4 really good holes.
Some footage of the front 9.
