Clark said he'd go & drive his van. We need to chip in for gas though.
Cool, if I could hitch a ride I'd be a happy camper
Hmm
Sanctioning pending? Someone fill me in..
Hopefully it is less horrible than last year :D

2 are listed on the PDGA Tour Page. Looks like sanctioning is good to go on this one.

Your state coordinator at work. I talked to Brian yesterday and he said that he had gotten his paperwork in. So I e-mailed David and the PDGA office to ask why it was not listed as sanctioned. I guess the change in status is my answer.
edit--Ah...now I see what you mean there Brett. I didn't notice that yesterday.
What time are we planning on getting there? Brian said he would get registration started around 7:30am. Last time there was some problem though and he didn't get started until way after that. I'd like to be there early enough to take PDGA memberships for his players.
I want to get there early. Getting there by 8pm would be nice. 7:30 is fine with me as long as the driver is ok with that.

I think it will all be over by 8pm! :D

7:30am is fine with me. Who is the last pickup and what time do we need to pick them up ?
It looks like it takes 1hr45min from my house in Round Lake to Olympia Fields.
brett park at mike's. mike drive down to my apt. (25 min.) and pick me up. jon's apt. is just south on the same road so we can just pick him up there and then take 294.
at the risk of jinxing us, the weather looks pretty good for sunday. however this probably means it will be 40 degrees with wind and rain.

:P
Weather.com is not calling for falling scorpions.
QuoteWeather.com is not calling for falling scorpions.
only because the PDGA site finally fixed the listing from "Holy Spring Opener".
BLASPHEMY!
...and I can't make this one either. Best friend's birthday party Sat, son's piano recital Sunday... although actually if it weren't for these I'd be at Standing Rocks... B)
Can anyone give me a ride? My dad can drop me off early at your house and be picked up there to in the afternoon. Ill be glad to pitch in for gas.
Adrian and Diron, if you want to ride to Oly with Mike Clark, Brett, and myself, then you can meet at Fairfield Park at 6:00 AM tomorrow morning. Clark has a van, so its no problem to ride 5 guys.
good luck today guys
watch out for world famous bob
We had some fun today. Another windy & cold day. Adrian Jr., Diron, Dan, Mike, Brownie, Mitch, & myself attended. Mitch hit an Ace on his first hole of the 2nd round. Jon was also there in the morning taking PDGA renewals & pimping the IOS.
That was alot fun, I didnt really like the course layout but i had a good time.
Yeah it was fun..
ob should have been marked, to many little areas of uncertainty
i had a pretty bogey free day for the most part, hoooorray :D
I had way to many bogeys in both rounds. <_< Good thing i made it up in birdies :D
All players one day? About how many players?
I think I counted 87.
120 maybe?
there were 4 aces, if i'm correct each got $30
There were 24 Adv Players. I'm not sure what the total was but there was definitely more players than last year. I shot 16 strokes better this year than last year.
This course is an equalizer. Anyone looking for a first time tourney to attend, this is the course to go to. It's very short but has a wide variety of shots. It also has a lot of OB (Not always clearly marked :( ).
so how did you finish?
this was a pretty fun tourney despite the chilly weather. personally i prefer to be able to throw long at least a couple times, but hey what can you do. here are the local finishes as i remember them:
Diron 5th intermed.
Adrian Jr. 2nd intermed.
Brett 2nd Adv.
Dan 3rd Adv.
Mike 12th Adv.
pretty good showing for the Kia crew.
great beginners course
always a fun quick play if you want
how many holes ? sometimes they pack a couple short ones
in if they cant get the ok for the field behind the course
it was 24 holes
Quoteit was 24 holes
Kris Hutter shot a 56 the first round for the hot round of the day. WOW!
I had a lot of fun at this tournament. Course was fun. Dan almost got his head chopped off. I almost cut a couple people in half with thumbers. This course is small with a lot of birdie chances. A few less bogeys would have been nice. It was a good time.

when somebody yells heads up at Oly, don't look around, just hit the deck!

I had a thumber coming in hot that cleared the tee on #17. I was actually aiming for Dan :D .
Adrian J nearly clipped Mitch in the back of the head..
I basically saved his life, so yeah, I'm a hero
I almost forgot. The 2M rule was waived. I saw 2 players stuck in a tree. Michler was one of them.
Pfft
How does it feel to have 3rd place handed to you.. cheater?!
:D

It saved me a birdie. I was stuck in the trees on 7 right next to the basket in the first round.

haha. well thats true, i did get stuck. as cheaters proof i got a tourney roll on my jump putt from there and 3 putted the hole for 1 of 2 bogeys on the day. didn't matter though as i was 3 ahead of 4th place and 3 behind 2nd.
...and justice for all

results have been posted.
something tells me Mike Clark is improving quickly as he beat several people with ratings 100 points higher than his B)
I say just some freak rounds..
:D

Nice guess. I think my guess of 87 was closer than 120!!! :P
who said guess?
nice putting words in my mouth... ;)
Someone played Rec at that tournament with a rating of 884!
