I'm there! Newhouse always runs a great tournament. If anyone is interested in going, I'm sure we could stay at Carla's brother's place...or we'll camp in Pat's yard...he's a hop, skip and a putt from the course :D
wish i could attend that one - newhouse is a great guy and runs some phatty tournaments. for anybody that can make it, you will not be disappointed...
Pat, are you planning on playing?
I emailed Mike and there are still spots available if anyone is interested in going out there.
Yes I'm playing. I sent my registration in last week.
After going 6 - 0 yesterday Sergio leads the Am Division in the Capitol Cup.
Good going Serg!
Thanks. It was a beautiful weekend for golf.
Here is how the day finished out:
We played 12 hole matches. I won my first match in a playoff hole...This moved me to the semifinals. In the semifinal match I lost my first match of the tournament 3 & 2 to Trygve. He couldn't miss. Very consistent and steady player. Me and the loser from the other semifinal match decided that we would split the 3 and 4 place prize money so we wouldn't have to play another 12 holes. The final match was Mike Wondra vs. Trygve Schadler. I don't know who won, we left.
This was an awesome tournament. Very fun format. I've never played match play before. Mike Newhouse always runs a fun tourny. Payouts were awesome. I only remember the top 4: 1 = $110, 2 = $90, 3 = $78, 4 = $68 ....8 = $33. All 8 players who made the cut to Sunday were guaranteed to cash.
Sounds fun. Great playing Serg!

Congradulations Serg. You played some great disc golf Saturday.
I thought match play was very fun. I had never played it before and look forward to playing again next year.
And thanks for hanging around and waiting for us to finish our 6-hour afternoon round, Pat. Maybe sometime we can actually play together (I get to move up to Masters next year).
