As most of you know, I just did a stack of 40 custom dyed discs for Sunking.  I just shipped him the discs back about a week ago.  There are already 2 of them of ebay for sale!!!  And not by Sunking.  And not by me of course.  Here check em out....

Isn't that the same guy that sold some of your discs in the past?

I'm guessing the same holds true for Innova and Discraft, at least somewhat - use the same molds w/different plastic for different discs...

I hear that when playing 'normal golf' one is able to openly consume alcoholic beverages and drive these funny little carts.

The same thing happened when they cloned Reagan. Now nobody knows which is the original.

Joe, I'd almost be willing to sign over a paycheck for that Lennon disc. Yabba-Dabba!!!

QuoteDR DYE (08-04-2003 03:47 p.m.):

Thanks, Jay, maybe I will dye up a couple Gateways with similar dyes.  I do have one Gateway Speed Demon 167g, white, in the "H" plastic.  It also says G1W on it, not sure if thats the plastic or the disc.  I know you know, let me know what it means.  It has yet to be dyed, and is sitting in my sellable plastic stack.  Just let me know.

Speaking of I just picked up two new Gateway discs I need to get dyed... anyways the G1W refers to Gateway 1 Wood, this refers to the distance of the disc. They only have a few molds, but the pastic is what makes discs in the same mold completely different. Below is a list of molds along with the names of the discs in the mold along with its plastic type.

G1w - Speed Demon (S, H, E plastic)

G1i - Sabres(S plastic), Apaches(H plastic), Sabre(E plastic)

G3i - Blaze(S plastic), Warrior(H plastic)

G5i - Demon(S plastic), Scout(H plastic)

G6i - Demon(S plastic)

G9i - Wizard(S plastic)

Putter - Wizard(S plastic), Chief(H plastic)

That clear things up?? Okay class dissmissed

I dunno I dont think its that confusing.....

Hes names each disc Apache, Sabre whatever the same as any other company. The G#i is simply to represent the distance the disc is capable of a Sabre is G1i (1 iron) whie a Blaze is a G3i (3 iron) like in normal golf. I simply threw in the other info(molds and plastics) for inqurirng minds.

Not sure if he is using a non-Sunking user name, I will have to ask him.  Yes, this guy has sold some of my other dyes in the past.

Ahh, thats nice, that they keep it nice and simple for us!?!  When I take a trip to St Louis to meet Gateway Dave, I will have to ask why he likes to make things so confusing.  And tell him to try and simple things up a little.
