Brought this up briefly today at best shot. I am interested in competing individually more this summer. I always rely on my partners to make good shots in the best shot league. I'm just too inconsistent. I'm making a push to get better & want to play a few am pdga tournaments this summer. Figure i'm going to play rounds so why not make them competitive. Head to head competition would work like this. A bracket of 8 would be posted (just like the elite 8 in the NCAA bracket. They would be #'d 1 through 8 top to bottom. Each player competing would draw a #. Their name would be inserted into the correct position according to #. #'s 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 would play each other. Each round would consist of 1 week. You & your opponent would have to compete in a round of 18 holes within that time period. The winner would advance. We could even work it so it was double elimination. I think this concept is very easy to get done. If there was enough interest we could move the brackets to 16. You could use pro, adv, am handicap. You could flip a coin and the winner can pick what course you play at. There options are endless. What do you guys think???
