Title: Course maps
Post by: roman on December 01, 2005, 01:37:43 PM
I made these for a friend of mine from Florida. I figured maybe someone new to the area could use them as well. I'd love to make more, but I don't play too many courses around here other than these. I've also played both Highland Park courses, and the Mundelein course, and I don't feel like wasting my time making those maps  :P However, I may make another one for Bevier later. I kinda liked that course. I haven't played it in almost 2 years now.

My dad made scorecards for Channahon, West Park, Lockport, Mokena, and Shorewood. On them, he made a map of the course w/ footages and diferent tee placements. I'll tell him about it and maybe he'll post. If not, the Channahon map is on the Channahon Tournament Thread.

My dad uses Google Earth and Terraserver and AutoCAD so he can make the maps to scale. He goes to the courses and gets footages and then uses AutoCAD and makes the map. An example of this is the Aurora map (As seen on the Aurora Thread).
