Anyone have an idea if and when Gary is going to have the Oly Spring Opener this year?
I'm pretty sure the Red Roc Disc Golf Club runs this event, not Gary. Looking at last year's results, Naomi Triumph was the TD. If you check out the "Joliet Disc Golf Tournaments for '06" thread, you'll see he appears to only be running 3 events this year. Hope he still does the Glow tourney in the fall though...lots of fun.
Brian Cummings runs the Oly Spring Opener. I'm sure he'll have the date out in a month or so. He usually waits a while to get dates going.

It should be some time in the Spring this year.
You're correct...it is Brian Cummings. Thanks!

Very short~~ For the most part you'd be sticking to your Roc & putter.
the name of the game at Oly is keep your head on a swiveil!!!!
discs are flying at your head from every direction on alot of the holes. its pretty packed in there. i nearly got my skull split in 2 last year by a thumber.

It's the disc golf version of Duck and Cover. Wear a helmet. And with the upcoming Dan Ryan construction, it's best to leave now if you want to play there in late April.
Kind of a fun course though if there's no one else around. I might make it this year unless I completely lose my senses and go to Standing Rocks again...
