I decided to start this thread because I wanted to let Bruce know what was going on with construction this summer but as I look at it others might want to be aware of what's going on as you prepare to travel to tournaments in the area.

They've basically shut down all routes to and from Indiana!
this may sound crazy, but for IOS 1 at Aurora, what about taking the ferry across Lake Michigan? I am not sure how much it costs or how lang it takes but I cant think of a drive more nerve racking than going through the south end of chicago then directly through the city, paying dollars and dollars on tolls. you'd have to drive four hours if you wanted to avoid the city entirely. ufff. not what i call fun. i hope everyone appreciates your efforts :)

The Badger takes 4 hours and costs $55 for the vehicle and $50 per adult, $25 per child. It travels between Ludington and Manitowoc.
The Cross-Lake Express takes 2 1/2 hours and costs $65 for the vehicle, $55 per adult and $30 per child. It travels between Muskegon and Milwaukee.
So, Bruce would be looking at $200 to $250 just for the ferry. Probably cheaper and quicker to just take the side streets! ;)
The only thing about these project is that they are going to be VERY nice when completely done. It's long overdue. It's also neat seeing some of the open-road tolling stuff be completed (paying tolls is bad enough, so at least it's a little less painful now).
Maybe I better stick to my local courses to play at this summer lol :)
