Title: Ummm tourney fundraisers?
Post by: myndcraft on September 05, 2002, 12:52:12 PM
Okay so I was lurking round the PDGA boards today and someone asked if Innova was going to make a CE Shark, to which Dave Dunipace replied

CE Sharks will be available this weekend in Santa Maria as a fundraiser disc. They are clear and weigh from 175 to 178 gms.

So question is how was this arranged and could we ever do something like that?

Just a thought :-)

Its kinda like our club-stamped discs, but usually smaller runs (50-200). I did not explore this possibility for the Blast because it took forever to get the discs last time and I was not ready to commit a bunch of money in case we had a 12-person turnout.  We could do this in the future, but discs are always cheaper when you buy more, custom-stamped or not.

Has everyone checked out Jojo's artwork for our next run of discs?  On the website; link is near bottom of index2.

The special CE runs are for supertours or national events to help raise money for open divisions.  At Parkside we were able to use $2 out of the $5 from each person for a course fund, is this possible for Bevier.  Even if it is 1.25 or 1.50, it is better for the club, also with the Blast the club should get 3-5 bucks from each entry of the top.  This is what every other club does, and use sponsers money for prizes and such.  I would really like to see money made go to giving schools demos and donating a basket to the school. Get the media involved, this would be a great idea in areas where we want a course; Gurnee elementry or Round lake middle school or whatever.  Get the kids and schools involved, thats where the extra buck or 2 should go.....I think I'm on to something, sorry for rambling, I type fast.

I am sick right now, got a headache, eyes hurt and have had flu-like stomach since tuesday.  Kind of sounds like west nile virus that the media is scaring us with doesn't it.  Ate for the first time today and played golf and do I ever feel like shit...
