Streamwood league is $5 to enter + $2 for Ace Pool.  Last summer there was 1 CTP per week which was usually a DX disc from King of Darts.  Part of the ace fund also goes into funds for holes 4 and 18...  If you get a 2 on either hole you win the pool for it.  I think each one got hit once or twice last year.

Which Fairfield league has the bankrupt ace pool? And is the ace pool optional?

Saturday & I doubt you'd be turned away if you paid $5.00.

Steve Mullens hit an ace 2 weeks ago & has still not received the money for the ace. It was around $100 or so. I guess the birdie/ace pool money is not around either. I guess the banker is bankrupt and has yet to pay it. We'll see if it gets paid or not.

It starts at 5:30, and has two divisons offered (adv/pro & am/novice). The adv/pro i think is 10 bucks, and the am/novice is 5 bucks, then there is optional ace pools and ctps.

We really don't want to take over any league or course. We'd like to work with people and be accepted. Take over sounds really bad. We would be more than willing to help anyone run a league. I cannot be at Saturday League often enough to run it.

If it was going to be a DISContinuum League we'd need 1 or 2 people that play the majority of time and are trustworthy with money. I can assist with getting cards,  pencils & scorecards. I really hate seeing people hit aces & not getting money. You should be walking away with cash that day!

Brett does it sound as bad as not getting ace money after you hit one

Mitch should probably just do it again!   :D  Although he hasn't been there recently.  Fyock is there every Saturday, somebody tell him he is in charge now.  The club taking over the league would probably just make it more of a hassle somehow.

As far as I know there are leagues at Fairfield every Thursday as long as there is enough daylight. If there is any confusion because I had stated that I would like to start running the leagues at Fairfield, I apologize for that. I had stated earlier that I would like to start running leagues at Fairfield next Thurs, July 6th. But that does not meant that there will not be leagues with someone taking money on Thursday.

Played Leagues at Aurora last night, the first night of doubles after they've been playing singles all summer.  Seven pairs and one Cali, scores ranging from -12 to -15 with one ace on #16.  Long tees next week.

If someone can send me the vital info for any of these leagues, I am starting to maintain a google calendar with Leagues/Tournaments in Northeastern Illinois.
If you send me league information, please include - location, time, when the last week of the league will be, cost and any other pertinent information. I will then add it to this google calendar.

Ugh Mapquest had me going North off 90 (the way I read it) instead of the desired South. By the time I got to the course it took me 2 hours and 10 minutes to get there from downtown off Diversey road. Shady Oaks was a pretty nice course though. I would have made it in time without the wrong way turn mishap, but I ended up playing through the lone league group on hole 11.

Heh yea Flash and I were laughing because normally when you play through a group you usually have bad shots but we were pretty quick to move through. What was the hot doubles round last night? I'd like to make it out again next week I think.

Next Sunday I am going to be running a 2 oclock leage at the new course in Grayslake.  It is a 9 hole course that is pretty short but has some technical holes.  I will also be making a alternate for each hole so it will be one round of 18 with 5 dollars per person going to payouts and 1 dollar for ace fund.  6 dollars per person random draw doubles on Sunday at 2.  This Sunday(Oct. 22) will be the first day for the new leage.
