I wanted to post and let everyone know about the PDGA Sanctioned C-Tier Event I'm running on Monday, May 29th - Memorial Day. It is called the "Go Big or Go Home" but don't be scared off because the distances will be very moderate. This is a ball golf resort that is letting us set up a temp course to use on Sunday and Monday. The doubles will take place on Sunday with the actual SINGLES event on Monday.
I could go on and on about how cool this event will be but its just as easy for me to post the flyer and my online registration page!
Check it out: http://www.takeflighttoday.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=100
Here is a link with the info on it as well. Feel free to print and post wherever you might see fit. http://www.widiscsports.com/assets/gbogh.pdf
THIS EVENT WILL FILL (Like the WI Tour Warm Up) so get ONLINE and register immediately if you wish to play in this very UNIQUE experience.
This tournament sounds like it is going to be alot of fun. I am going to try and make it up with two of my friends. How many holes do you think would be put in for the tournament? I could imagine that you could fit more then 18 holes at a place like that.
Yes,
I can ALMOST promise that this event will be a really fun time. If you take too many bogies or oversleep in the morning or something like that, then you might not have fun but just avoid that and I'll do the rest.
It will be VERY unique and something that could lead to many bigger and better things. PLEASE spend the night at the resort as they have 4 pools and tons of space to do stuff. They have great rooms that are $79 for 4 people or up to 10 people for $149. Heck, get 5 or 6 in a big room so you have plenty of space! If we get enough people to spend the night they will be even cooler with us in the future.

This event sounds really cool. I've had some pretty cool experiences playing on golf courses. It should fill easily.
Sounds like a good time. I can't wait to go. I will be bringing the whole family. We are going to go up there on Saturday and make a weekend of it. ;D
Hey Mike
I got your registration - you'll be seeing a confirmation page from me pretty soon. Please use the code - 21903G when you call in. That is the code they want us to use for the disc golfer reservations.
Thanks for the support of this awesome opportunity.
A few more registrations have come in for this. I know it's only 2 weeks from today but when I hosted the WI Tour Warm Up that saw like 30 registrants in a matter of a day or two.
You want to play golf with golf carts don't you?
Ter
i am in for this event. i will make the arrangements (payment) later today or tomorrow. i won't be coming up saturday for ball golf as i had hoped, but i will be there sunday and monday.
looking forward to it, terry.
Anyone else coming? Please register ASAP if you're planning on it. Looks like it will be 80 degrees over the weekend!
Ter
not gonna make it anymore :(
will have to wait til crystal lake for my first tourney
If this is your first tourney and from what it sounds like of your description of your play; I would try IMT division. If you are saying this is your first then go for it.
Then again depending on your game you could swing to Adv Division too.
I guess there is no harm done in playing IMT Men Division. GO out there and have fun!!

after driving back 5 1/2 hrs from des moines sunday night, i decided i might as well hit this tourney up today! :o terry always does a great job with everything and it was alot of fun. unfortunately the rain from last week didnt' allow us to drive carts out there, but it was still fun.

Wow! Dan, you're a Road Warrior....
I did the same thing but just got to sleep in Dans car. I was looking forward to the carts and it is unfortanate it did not work out. It was still a well run tournament. Terry wanted to use the carts but it was out of his hands because of all the rain the course got and it not being his golf course. He had good intentions and I was not mad at all that it did not work out. The course was a lot of fun and I would like to do another tournament like this one in the future. Thanks for running another good tournament Terry!
My family and I had a great time at the resort. What a fantastic tournament! Good course layout. Illinois players walked away with most of the Advanced payout. 5 of the 8 I think.
