See www.brasscash.com for details. It's just like any other IOS this year. Pros and Advanced play Saturday. 100 players play both days. Three players don't get in because they did not think they needed to pre-register. Don't let it be you.
Lets talk about the $750 ace pool. This is how its going to work:
The ace pool is capped at $750 and all new sign-up money is going into the reserve ace pool. You have to pay $3 and sign up to get in.
Saturday: No aces: The $750 ace pool and the reserve ace pool roll over to Sunday
Saturday: One ace: The ace thrower collects $750 and the reserve rolls over to Sunday.
Saturday: Two aces: Each ace is worth $375 and the reserve rolls over to Sunday. So the Sunday ace pool is likely to be $400 to $500 even if someone aces Saturday. So go pre-register right now.
Saturday: Three or more aces: The ace pool is combined with the reserve and all aces split. If one player had two aces, he's get two shares.
Sunday: If both ace pools roll over, same deal. If the reserve rolls over, it becomes the new ace pool, and all aces split the new ace pool.
Someone will ace at Crystal Lake. It won't be you if you wait until the last day to pre-register and the tournament fills.
what is the ace pool at currently?
Currently it is capped at $750 with $53 in the reserve pool.

I know that the tees will be flagged and all that good stuff so that you can't have this insane run up on some of the holes (eg. 6 and 10), but I was wondering if anything is going to be done as far as filling in some of the ruts that are created on the tees. That's probably the biggest thing I don't like about this course. I'm always afraid of twisting my ankle when I play a round there (hitting the back of my hand on a tree at Lombard is bad enough! heh)
I'm sure that Brett or somebody will post about how the tees will all work out, but Hole 4 is still played "the old way", correct? I don't even know where the old 4 tee is anyway.
Not sure if I can make it to this one, I'm expecting my sister-in-law and her family out that same weekend!
Last year the park district worked on the tees prior to the event. I will call to find out if they will be doing the same this year. I cannot gurantee anything. The tees will be marked with cones and will be marked in a way that trees are not close enough where you can hit hands on trees. Yes, old hole #4 will be played. It's back towards the limestone pather shooting down the tree line. It's a much tougher hole and about twice as long as the current number 4.
let me know if u need a resident to call my bro lives close to the park
Brett, if they do the same thing they did last and just put loose limestone in the tees tell them not to since it was like throwing in sand. If they do fill them they should compact them or not do it at all. By the end of the first day all the loose limestone is kicked out anyways.
Oh yeah, they said that somebody was going to ace at IOS #3 last year when the ace pool was capped. But guess what, it did not happen!

I will bet you $10.00 there is an ace at Crystal Lake.
There will be a lot more people playing the course this year.
Venue | Divisions | 2005 | 2006 |
Kenosha | Pro/Adv | 52 | 100 FULL |
Kenosha | Int/Rec | 49 | 103 FULL |
Lombard | Pro/Adv | 80 | 102 FULL |
Lombard | Int/Rec | 60 | 100 FULL |
Crystal Lake | Pro/Adv | 63
Crystal Lake | Int/Rec | 92
I see no reason why Crystal Lake would not fill both days. Same course, same weekend, same NT/A casting a zone of exclusion on most of the eastern US. This year we will get more Pro/Adv for the same reasons that Kenosha and Lombard did.
Pre-register.
Can somebody fix that stupid table? :-[ :-*

Brett i will take that bet!And you can't put in any 80ft alternate holes. I meen any short easy holes that are in the open.
The Throw Discraft player pack worked last time so we'll do it again, only sweeter. This is how it will go: You can have a player pack of 15 Brass OR any Discraft disc of your choice plus one from the designated box. The disc of your choice will include the ESP Surge, Thumb Gripper Z-Surge and ESP Buzzz, but it can be anything I have. The designated box will have a lot of what you saw last time. But I will put some IOS stamped Challengers in there because those were popular last time.
If you want to groove your hyzer bomb, the Throw Discraft CTP will be on hole 1.
The trophy discs will all be Elite X Challengers. I love dying X-Challengers. These should be sweet.

Bruce,
Do we have to email you again for it?
No. It will be "while supplies last." I can do at least as many as I offered last time, 25 each day.

This is the deal on the IOS #3 player pack:
For your 15 brass you can get
(A) $15 off anything I have. Discraft is always cheaper than Innova because Discraft sponsors local tournaments, ours included, and I pass that sponsorship along. OR
(B) The Throw Discraft Player Pack. This time the Throw Discraft Player Pack will be any Discraft disc except a Spectra, plus a D-disc from the designated D-disc boxes. Kelsey and I counted and I think we counted that I can do 70 total this time. First come, first served. Among the any discs will be ESP Surges, ESP Buzzzes, thumb gripper Z-Surges, and anything else non-Spectral that is Discraft. OR
(C) You can use your 15 Brass to get in the Let it Ride Brass Sidebet. This is a really simple concept: you put your 15 brass in he can and your name on the sheet. There is a payout to the top 40% or so of the players who get in. We payout all the brass in the can.
The Amateur Sidebet was really popular when we did it back in 2001 and 2002. Now we aren't getting much interest. If interest remains low we may quit doing this. It may be that with a 15 Brass player pack you can get something or most of something you really want, whereas when we were doing it in 2001 and 2002 the player pack was 10 funny and it might have made more sense to let it ride. I don't know.
(D) You can also spend your Brass at the popstand. Even as I type, popstand girls are in my living room practicing making change. The popstand girls are Charlie and Cassie. They don't play tournaments.
We are going to focus on water, ice tea, frozen lemonade and Gatorade this year. Illinois players are smart and don't drink a lot of pop when they play. They will also have some single serving snacks and maybe M&Ms. We get a lot of requests for chocolate, but had an inventory meltdown last year when we bought Fun Size candy bars!
Do you know how many people put in the sidebet on the Adv/Pro day at Lombard? I know the turnout was good both days at Kenosha, but it was only 6 people or something like that on the Int/Rec day at Lombard. I really like that option and would like to see it continue.
Just to confirm: there will be a players pack for rec/int? I don't recall there being one last year for the Crystal Lake. I might bring another woman down, so I need the full scoop.
Can't wait for that lemonade. If it wasn't for the lemonade stand on hole 1 last year, I wouldn't have survived the 2nd round of the tourney. It was hot!!
There will be a player pack for rec/int. I played Rec at Lombard and was able to take the Throw Discraft pack option. I picked up a sweet surge disc :)
Yes, even though it is a C-tier, we are running it to the exact same standards as any other IOS event, except that we don't have Hot Rags t-shirts and flight life stuff to give away. So for a $23 entry fee (plus $5 for non-members) you can expect:
15 Brass player pack
13 Brass per player in the division goes to payout
~3 Brass per player in the division goes to divisional CTPs
The Throw Discraft CTP
Any donated CTPs
Maybe the Marshal Street CTP? Can't guarantee that because Brett & Jon donate that via donations they get from Marshal Street.
1 cool dyed trophy Challenger for every division that has a pre-registered player and
3 cool dyed trophy Challengers for reliably large amateur divisions
To me that looks like a good deal. That's why I play all my tournaments when all my parts are working.
For $14 or $15, (plus $5 more for non-PDGA members) whatever it says at Brasscash.com, you can play trophy-only and get the
15 Brass player pack
The divisional CTPS
The all-player CTPs, and
A shot at the trophies for your division.

We decided no matter what the tier each event would have the same entry fees and 15 brass player packs. I think being consistent across the series is easier for the players. I KNOW it's easier for the volunteers! O0

Sunday

On June 14 and 15 I'll be preparing and dying trophy discs. These will be Elite X Challengers which are good throwing plastic if nothing else. I only make these for divisions that have pre-registered players.
These are the divisions which will not get trophy discs if no one pre-registers:
Pro Women
Pro Masters
Grandmasters of every kind
Advanced Women
Age restricted women and girls of every kind
Junior boys other than Juniors < 19
We don't deduct from your payouts for these either, so you might as well pre-register and get on my work list.
As to Juniors < 19, I realize it can be kind of discouraging to play against a junior who is as good as a lot of advanced men. But we just increased the Junior fee, so if five of you were to pre-register, I could do a trophy for second. We would wind up spending more on your division than we are collecting, but we have gotten used to that with the juniors.

Oh, another thing.
The Throw Discraft player pack will be available for the first 35 each day who ask for it. It is any Discraft disc of your choice, plus a D-disc from the designated box.
I wanted to get D-Challengers as one of the D-disc options in the Throw Discraft player pack. They were out of D-Challengers [out of D-Challengers?!] so for no extra cost they are substituting Photon Glow Challengers!!
can i pay for my brother through pay pal
Should be no problem, paying for your brother. Just be sure to fill in his player information.
I picked up my IOS 3 Discraft merch today. The Ultra Grip Surges are really cool. The Ultra Grip pad is super grippy and almost flush with the surface of the disc. If your knock on Z is that it is too slippery, you'll need a new knock.
Is that on all Z-Surge discs? I just received 2 of them today, a 169 and a 174. Today the 169 flew close to further than anything I've ever thrown, but I can't tell too much of a difference on the surface. Maybe I missed your comment about the availability of these discs.

No, it is only on the Ultra Grip Z Surges. The Ultra Grip pad is a "can't miss" feature. It is an oval about the length and width of half of a thumb set in the top of the flight plate so it is almost flush with the surface. It is made of a soft, rubbery and really grippy material.
thanks for the clarification :) I thought I was losing my mind at first!
As a service to our players, Kiralyn and I weighed all the new Cryztal Z stuff and wrote the weights on the back in Sharpie. We'll try to weigh all the old stuff too. So that no one's conscience or wallet would be offended, we assumed that if a disc was a gram overweight it was scale error. ;) Actually, that is exactly what they are doing for the Japan Open this weekend. Max legal weight is 150 grams, but they are assuming that their scale is accurate to two grams so anything that actually weighs 152 will be allowed.
It is against my religion to post three times in a row on a thread, and here's twice.
I started dying trophy discs tonight. I'm not having a bunch of new ideas but some of the old standards are looking good.
Anyway, I just wanted to reiterate that if you want a dyed trophy disc for your division and you play in a gender or age restricted division, you need to pre-register. For gender and age restricted divisions that don't pre-register we'll be using micro-basket mini-marker trophies like last year's. Pro Masters, Pro Women, Advanced Women, all Grandmasters and most Juniors are not on my list of trophies to do right now because they have not pre-registered. Monday night is the drop deadline for pre-registering to prompt me to do one for your micro-division.
Are the tee lines going to be marked prior to the event? also is the tee for 18 going to be moved at all?
Hole 18 is missing a chain too.

Last year hole 18 was repositioned for safety....I imagine Brett will take take of it....right, Brett?
according to Brett's tee listings, it says that hole 18 is a grassy tee about 30ft away from 17's tee, so that means yes, the tee has been moved to protect those trying to tee off on 18 and getting whacked by drives on 17 (I've been hit by a driver disc flying fast, it's NOT fun)
Weather Looks good for this weekend.

Bruce,
What's the cash price on the Super Grip Z-Surges? I need to make sure that my brother can pick one up for me when he goes to play at the tournament on Sunday. Wish I could be there!
I just ripped my new 169g Z-Surge further than any other disc I've thrown before (over 300' - finally! - with no wind support), so I really want to try out one of those super grip discs :)
Thanks,
Scott
do you still get rated if you play in recreational?
Yea, as long as you are a PDGA member and you decide to play as a PDGA member.

That's $13, not $11. The plain ones were $11. I'll give him the brother-of-the-guy-who-bought-league-trophies discount if he asks for it. Otherwise he'll just be some guy buying a disc.

Last month there were a lot of people the last few days....We'll see where we're at when registration closes tomorrow :)
I think right now there are about 110 pre-registered. We're behind in updating PDGA.com.
I think we'll fill this like the other two. The Great Lakes Open is full on the am side [with mostly Michigan and Ohio players] and there is little else going on that's sanctioned in the Great Lakes states. Also, since we have been filling to full but not turning too many people away, people aren't really thinking they need to pre-register.
im not driving 1 1/2 hrs to not play
if ur coming in a car of players - what happens if one of you doesnt get in
what if the driver doesnt get in (my brother was the last one let in at fairfield )
I have a feeling that there will be a LOT of walk-ups at Crystal Lake... just a hunch.
Bruce - I'll let my brother know about the "brother-of-the-guy-who-bought-league-trophies discount" lol. That's great. I'm handing out those discs next Wednesday. Hopefully everyone will enjoy it :) There's a race between first and second and it all depends on the outcome next week to determine the overall winner. I'll have to post a picture of how the final trophies look once I get the brass plaque portion of it done.
Thanks!
Scott
PDGA Tour Page is up to date. 84 players.
Apologies to all who tried to prereg yesterday & this morning while the server was having problems....
On that note, PREREG FOR IOS#3 IS CLOSED! Show up early & go straight to the registration table if you want to play. Don't drive all the way out to CL to get turned away!
i will be playing as a pdga member, but i really have no proof of membership yet. only thing ive received in the mail so far is the disc golf world mag. will this cause a problem when i check in tommorow morning?
no problems. they'll have a spreadsheet that lists all current members & you'll be on there.

There are only about 25 spots available for Sunday. If you are driving out expecting to get in, you should arrive as early as possible. If you are standing there at 7am while we're setting up, you will probably get in.
are we playing 22 holes on sun ?
any aces ?
the last I read about the 22 holes was that Sunday's are capped at 20 holes. I'm presuming that is still the case.
yes there was an ace on saturday
Hey I had some stuff come up last minute and I wasn't able to play this Sunday. I pre-reg'd yesterday and I was wondering if my entery fee could be either given back or just put towards the next IOS? please let me know THANKS-Rocky
Wow! What a weekend. I'll try to post more tomorrow.
Joe Kwalski from Alto, MI hit an Ace on Hole #9 on Saturday. $750.00. He took first in Advanced winning approximately $135.00 in funny money. He got in the side bet and won approximately $70.00 funny money. Not a bad day of disc golf. WOW!!
No aces today. Some bad weather rolled thru in the afternoon.
I'm off to bed.
Did you guys play the second round, or was it cancelled due to the weather? I didn't allow time for bad weather, and had to leave early for an obligation that I had around 6:00.
my brother played in the tournament and they did play the second round. I know my parent said they didn't pick him up until 7pm, but I don't know if the round ended then or if that was after the prizes were distributed. I guess play was halted at least once due to inclement weather.
Second round WAS played. I think by the time awards were done it was about 7:30-ish. I know we talked to Brett at Hole #1 at 5:45 with 1-7 still to play, so around 7 o'clock for the round to be done sounds about right. I wasn't looking at my cell afterwards for a while, so I'm not sure about exact time.
Once the lightening passed, the weather wasn't so bad. It did rain a little after play was resumed, but I've played in much worse. All the cards were in around 7:00. We left before awards. I really hate doing that, but the lady we drove had to be back in Madison by 9:00 to take care of her young boys. Unfortunately, when we hit Rockford the darn Illinois tolls had traffic way backed up. It took us 50 min to travel 5 miles. Needless to say, we missed that 9:00 deadline. Even though it was a long day and I didn't play that well, I had fun. I love the IOS tourneys! I still plan on making them all. Hopefully Ben stays below 915 so we can play on the same day.

He's at 900 with you close on his heels at 873. Its still a one day proposition for you guys. It was nice playing with you Sunday morning before the deluge hit.
Notwithstanding the rain, lightning and long rounds, it was a blast as usual. Sorry I had to bail after the rain but I hoped to get home before my bedtime. ;D. A few of us sat under the Waterford Girls vender tarp during the strom. The thunderclaps were intense. I had just teed off of 7 before the rain. It was dry. After the storm passed there was a lake on the teepad. There must of been 1-2" of rain in 30 minutes.
Yes, regardless of the weather you guys put on a good show. Looking forward to the Forest City Frenzy!
I noticed that there were a couple ofl 940+ rated players that playted in the intermediate on Sunday (Kenny Glassman and Andrew Gleason). How does that work? Several were over 920... Hmmm
Nevermind...they updated the ratings a day early. My Bad.
This is why it would be nice for pdga.com to have the ratings at the time of the tournament rather than current rating.
new ratings out today. kenny and andrew both were unrated prior to today.
d'oh, didn't see page 5.
If the PDGA could work out a type of insta-ratings then the spreadsheet they send out the week prior to events would be pretty accurate instead of lagging a couple months.

Kenny and Andrew are new to PDGA and just got their first rating today! They had no rating yesterday. Welcome to Advanced boys! You can search this board for the Kenny/bagger thread on this board but he's taken enough cheap shots. He joined PDGA and its no surprise that his rating is 940+.

Well, Kenny and Andrew didn't have any rating until today! This is their first rating for both of them. Welcome to Advanced gentlemen! :)
I'm sorry about the rain and the lightning. The Universe is a delicate thing. The Waterford Junior Girls' Club was petitioning for outrageous cash sales to casuals on Saturday, and we did not consider the effect that might have on Sunday's weather.
Whenever there is a long weather delay things get a little FUBAR. I'd like to thank Mike Krupika for helping decipher the semi-decomposed CTP flags, and everyone else for just taking it all in stride. If you had to leave early, we understand. If you made arrangements with the TD for someone to collect for you, we honored that.
We had to turn people away at Crystal Lake. Pre-registration is always a good idea. Next year we will make pre-registration cheaper than day-of sign-up. The people who don't take advantage of the early bird discount will sponsor series overall awards.

Results are up for Sunday. I fixed all the mistakes that people told me about. Look it over and let me know if there are others. http://www.pdga.com/tournament/tournament_results.php?TournID=5699&year=2006&includeRatings=1#Intermediate
Wow! Ben will be surprised and excited when he finds out the results. He thought that he'd end up about 10th. I think I might wake him up and tell him. He's fun to talk to when he's still half asleep. He says the most bizarre things. But, that's a little off-topic.
Jon, did you remember to look at your left hand when you were handing out Ben's prize?
Yep. I have Ben's trophy disc, his brass and your brass. You tied for last brass in Rec so there's a few in there for you also. Are you coming down to the Peoria Open?
On a side note I was still wondering about my entery fee from Sunday. I drove in from Colorado Fri and sat and played sat. However, I over slept for sun. and I was wondering if my fee could either be returned or just put towards IOS#4? Please let me know- Rocky

Thanks! I can't believe that I cashed too. I really don't like to leave before the awards ceremony. We usually stay even if we don't cash. I don't know why, maybe it's a karma thing, but we like to show support for the disc golfers who did well.
I woke Ben up last night to tell him the results. When I told him he took 3rd, he quickly sat up in bed, and said, "REALLY?!! That means I get one of those cool trophy discs!!" Then he broke out in this strange, almost disturbing laughter. Next thing I knew, he laid back down and was sleeping.
And yes, we'll be down for the Peoria Open. Great practice for the USWDGC!

COOL, Marie :) I'll see you in Peoria!
Just wanted to say thanks for everything. I didn't mind the rain at all (the lightning that hit the ground in the parking lot not too far from me and knocked a couple guys down was a little scary, but...) and had my best finish yet. I've played in a whole lot worse weather, so no problem there. You guys do a great job and I'll be at every IOS this year because of it.

Holy crap! I didn't even hear about that. Sheesh!

Rocky,
I hate to be the one to tell you this but this is the policy we decided on prior to the start of the year & we've got to stick with it.
Preregistration Policy:
If the TD is contacted Friday or before the event weekend, the preregistered players money will be held and can be used at any of the IOS events left in 2006.
If they don't show to any of the later events the money will be used in the prize pool at the final event.
If the TD is not contacted Friday or before the event weekend the money will be added to the prize pool that weekend.
Players that have preregistrered are asked to check in at Tournament Central by 9AM the morning of the event.
If you do not check in by 9 your spot may be released to people on the waitlist!
Hey man NOT COOL AT ALL. I come to all of these events and donate my money on saturdays and for this one I actually gave 23 bucks after the 2 rounds on saturday and didn't even have 24 complete hours here. All that I am really asking is to have that money go to the next IOS and on top of it have prereg'd for EVERY tourney this year AAAAND paid the online fee for registering. At least attempt to help me out here. OH and on top of it I borrowed the money from kenny to make sure I would have a spot for sunday. Not happy about this at all.
If we hold spots for people who have not paid, they don't show and they don't call. Then when it fills, like at Kenosha, we have to start a wait list, people have to stand around actually waiting, those people have to register at the last moment and the tournament starts late. That is what happened at Kenosha because I was not up to speed on this year's posted policy and i took a bunch of no cash reservations from people who would absolutely, definitely be there. Yeah. Definitely. Absolutely.
If we refund money for people who are no show no calls, that is no different from taking registrations without money. Sunday we had at least ten people standing around waiting to see if five other people were going to show up. Some of them got in but then we had to do late registration and start the tournament late. If we were refunding for no show no calls, 30 players might have looked out the window and stayed home and not called. We'd be doing late registration for an hour after registration was supposed to close. We cannot run tournaments that way.
Almost always, if someone actually calls during registration and says they can't make it, they got stopped by a cop or had a flat or whatever, we go soft and roll their money over. But at that point we still have their money. At this point the tournament is over. We added that money in when we decided how many CTPs to put out (22 for 330 total brass) and what to do for all-day volunteers and what to set aside for overalls.
my group finished a hole and saw everyone going in so we sat there for a minute
as everyone looked down but me i see like 4 lighting hits kinda far away as the sound took a second to get to us
i said "did anyone see that ? " No was the answer
the rain came down a little harder and i started back to the car
i was kinda half jogging as a couple strikes hit and then there was one that sounded right there
i was running full out for the car after that, let it rain a little and tracked down my brother and headed to his house for dinner then home
home in time for the sox game
hats off to everyone that finished and the people who ran the T that late
We blew our horn when those ground strikes were first visible, but not many players heard it. The park blew its horn a few minutes later, but not many people heard that either. If you are under an umbrella in the rain, you don't hear much.
One of those lightning strikes hit close enough to tournament central that we could hear the "zot" sound before the boom. That one disabled all my space alien implants and I was confused for the rest of the day.
We were the last one's out and it was dark by then. We drove about twenty yards and realized something was wrong with the trailer. The hitch lock was stuck in the unlocked position. It took a long time to get it unstuck and locked. Then we had to drive in the rain in lightning all through Chicago and Indiana. That was exhausting so we stopped and napped for four hours and finished going home at the break of dawn.
On the way to a tournament where there are 100 players pre-registered we are all happy, enthusiastic and full of vim. On the way home Diana says, "Um, explain to me again why we do this?" And I say, "Good tournaments, legal fun, we get to see my family, your kids are past and future national and world champions."
It might be a good idea to exchange cell #'s in the club members only section. This way we can know what to dial if we do get a flat/stopped by the local gendarmes/have an accident/...oversleep. It might help in chaotic times like a storm as well. I remember thinking I wanted to call someone before the second round because we were too far to hear the horn until Mike Clark came by and told us to play.

I was wishing on Sat that I had my cell with me as we were on one of the extra holes and didn't hear anything about 2 minutes or teeoff. (I generally don't carry it during a round.) Would've helped on Sunday before the 2nd round as we were apparently waiting for an all-clear. When that storm hit, though, it didn't matter because I wasn't playing in THAT whether we were officially stopped or not! :o
I can understand some people being reluctant to give out their cell phone numbers. During the lightning suspension of play I was thinking that it would be helpful if we could have called some of the players to tell other players. I'm the type of person who has to stumble through a situation unprepared before I can kind of figure out some solutions, and even then I forget them a year later. These are some rainy day things we need to remember:
Thing #1: On days when rain is in the schedule both the players and the TDs should remember to bring gallon size ziplock bags. As a player you should bring one but as a TD I should get 100. You put the card and the pencil in the bag. When you write down scores you leave the card in the bag because it is big enough for your hand and the pencil. Jon and I have done that before as TDs. We both forgot this time.
Thing #2: Since we are doing all these CTPs, we need to bag the flags on rainy days. I've done that before too.
Thing #3: Maybe we could collect cell phone numbers without names from people who are comfortable with that on days when we might expect lightning, tornadoes or chemical plant explosions. Calling about eight random numbers would be enough to probably get the word to everyone.
We would never stroke someone for failing to hear the stop play horn, or for stopping play prematurely if there was lightning or funnel clouds or other dangerous weather. You could be a half mile away and seeing something we can't see on some courses.

Speaking of cell phone numbers, I would have liked to been able to contact someone first thing to let them know I wasn't going to make the tourney and to forfeit my spot. Just something to make it easier on you guys. If you save my spot till 9:00 AM, it puts unnecessary pressure on the individuals running the tourney and those who are waiting to get in. But that is why I always pre register, one less thing to worry about the day of the tourney.
Congrats to the Brakel Klan and all the volunteers, Sunday sounded brutal. Disc golf is growing by leaps and bounds in this area because of events like this and because of ambassadors like Brett and Mike Clark. All the volunteers deserve special thanks, because it is a sometimes thankless job. Unfortunately after the tourney is done with, you hear some complaining.
I am glad that no one was seriously hurt. Lightning is nothing to jack around with, one bolt can take out a number of people. When I was working outside full time, I saw some plumbers climb out of a open basement, and while heading to their truck they were struck by lightning, all three went down and one was dead before he hit the ground. Please use common sense, do not go under a tree, do not carry your umbrella with you. Get inside if possible.
Then again, maybe lightning will strike and I will win an IOS event
Does anyone have contact info for Zac Newhouse? During round #2, I found a white dx goblin w/ his PDGA # on it. I meant to turn it in after the round, but I completely forgot.
Post it on the Lost and Found board :)
