I completely missed this post and was so shocked when I went over to Oak Brook the first week the doubles was over there and see everyone there.  It's weird for me to think how many people might have been there that I recognize here but wouldn't recognize in person.  I was talking to Steve somewhere around 5:30 (maybe earlier) and he and I were comparing the fiberglass poles we had.  I wanted to confirm that mine was only the 28' pole.  It sure did come in handy though because I had to make 3 discs rescues with the pole!

Is it confirmed that all of the baskets are back in place?  We were out there on Thursday, and a number of baskets had been pulled (2, 4, 18 to mention a few), and they were pulling 13 when we were throwing 19.  It looks like there were being pulled so that the machine out there could aerate the grounds (there was so much dead grass from so many people trampling through there).

Is basket 13 restored?  I presume that it is just skipped on doubles night?  Hopefully no one was hurt by a softball or something near the teepad... I know that one day after we teed and started walking towards our lies that someone homered on the softball field and the ball bounced off the teepad.

How late into the year do the doubles run?  I was thinking about playing tomorrow night, but it's still supposed to be a pretty warm day.

Thanks,
Scott

As of last wed. basket 13 was still not there, so we played from thirteen's tee to three's basket during league. I hope it's there tomorrow.

The park district bought (and now has in their posession) three new baskets. Bill Keel is looking for some help in pulling out the ones we are replacing and installing the new ones. Stolen 13 will be replaced. I think the other two that will be swapped out are 4 and 16, but I'm not exactly sure.

I'm not sure how Steve does it. He may just carry it over as Lombard doubles is really just chaning times to Saturdays at 10am (and also moving to Oak Brook).

Jack Waryck probably?  I don't know, Jack reveal your identity hehe ;)  I just know that if it's the Jack I'm thinking of, you throw a JLS as a primary driver... or well, you did at IOS #2.

I don't throw Millenium discs. My primary driver is a Buzzz. I like holding hands and long walks on the beach. Who am I? ???

a Buzzz isn't a driver, if ur having distance probs, that could be part of the problem

It can be a primary driver at Madison Meadows though!

Good point. I can throw my Buzzz only 350 feet. What do you recommend I do?

Is the 10 AM Saturday Oakbrook league still going? If so, I'll TRY to make it out this Saturday. Cabin Fever's got it's hold on me.

If not, anyone up for a tag round Saturday?

That website is not related to anything going on with the doubles. Doubles is at 11 am alternating between Jericho and Oswego with this week at Oswego.

when I last played Oak Brook course conditions were not that great.  I played there about 10 days ago.  There was some hay down around 1's tee, between 2 and 3, and then between 6 and 7, but it was no where near enough to cover those areas (they are consistently muddy unless it has been dry out for a while).  There were some parts of really soggy ground.  Course is still definitely playable, but with those conditions I can understand why you would probably want to cut it off for a couple of months (and because it's winter, etc)
