Is there anyone interested in running league on July 9th?
Anyone heading to league on Sunday that may want to run league?
I'm going to see the scrubs play in brew-town, otherwise I would...
Please don't force Brett to cancel League this sunday!
Can I pay someone my membership fees on sunday, or do I need to do it over the web?
nope, in person is fine, but its unknown if any of the club officers will be there this sunday.... or if league will even happen as finding a substitute has proven difficult.
Did anyone volunteer to run league tomorrow?
If I go and collect $ is that OK even though I dont have the league box.
Aces would have to be paid later.

That would be great Mitch! Come up with some makeshift cards. We'll count it towards league points. Thanks!

Are you up for doing it again on the 16th? A lot of players should be in Peoria. I don't think I will be able to get there but I hope to make it up to Bevier Sunday. Of course, I am not sure what time to show up. I saw this on Brett's flyer:
Week 2-> July 16th (Daylight Savings Time Begins) ??? ??? ???
I will not be in Peoria, so finding a sub for this Sunday shouldn't be a problem.... The merch may not be with me tho.
Bring lots of water tomorrow people! Ace pool is currently at $134! :D
Got the first 3 weeks of Summer entered.

See you tomorrow!
even though there isn't regularly scheduled best shot tomorrow I plan on running some $5 dubs for anyone interested. Same bat time, same bat parking lot.

How about the next 3 weeks? -_-
yes, yes... its on my list of things to do.
Thanks for the update through week 6.
Will there be league as scheduled on October 1st competing with Mikes' Fairfield Dubs?
yes. the league calendar was established long before he planned his dubs event.
doubtful there will be a large turnout, good for those in need of points! :)
There is a correction to the schedule attached to the first post in this thread -
THERE IS NO BEST SHOT ON 9/17 DUE TO IOS#6 in AURORA!
League will resume on 9/24. 3 weeks of Summer Best Shot left!
Mirth,
Where will you be on 10/1, Fairfield or Bevier?
bevier
Week 7 results have been posted.
Top 5 in the points race are:
1 Jayson Pastell 41
2 Mitch Wallace 34
3 Allan Short 32
4 Tom Schodtler 31
5 Mike Wood 27
3 weeks left!
Other interesting stats -
77 players so far after 7 weeks of best shot, we're averaging 11 players per week. assumably this will begin to tick up since most area summer leagues are done until next year.
we've had 28 actual people who have made up the 77 players, and so far paid out $77 just in CTP cash.
come on out!
I have mentioned before, and would still like to see the $ in $ out statistics for each player. It would be interesting to see who is actually making money at league. I'm sure it is not me.
Here you go Mitch.
Cash Leaders for
2006 Summer Best Shot.
Rank Name Total Cash
1 Tom Schodtler $73.50
2 Jayson Pastell $50.00
3 Allan Short $32.00
4 Damon Short $30.50
5 Andrew Gleason $30.00
6 Brett Comincioli $27.00
7 Deryk Shanteau $26.00
8 Mike Clark $25.00
9 Kenny Glassman $24.50
10 Mike Wood $21.00
11 Rene Alberra $21.00
12 Neal Swanson $20.00
13 Chris Jordan $16.50
14 Mitch Wallace $16.00
15 Adrian Gutierrez Sr $16.00
16 David Nelson $15.00
17 Nick Fyock $10.50
18 Sean Hancock $7.50
Does this include CTP's or Aces?
I guess figuring the $ in would'nt be too hard assuming everyone pays the full $8 each week.
it does include CTP's and aces
Mitch asked for this, thought I'd post for all interested.
Top 10 in points:
1 Jayson Pastell 55
2 Mitch Wallace 48
3 Allan Short 48
4 Tom Schodtler 41
5 Mike Wood 39
6 Deryk Shanteau 34
7 Chris Jordan 34
8 Nick Fyock 22
9 Brett Comincioli 20
10 Andrew Gleason 20
If we get 5 or more teams this sunday, and Jayson finishes 4th or better than he locks up 1st. Mitch or I have to take 1st and Jayson has to finish 5th place or worse in points to come out ahead. Schodtler is in the hunt for 2nd or more likely 3rd. Mike Wood has a shot at 3rd if Mitch doesn't play this Sunday.
The real question in the points race is whose playing the Homie this Sunday????
The last two weeks have seen attendances of 7 & 6 players, it will be interesting to see how many come this Sunday. My guess is 4 teams.
I'd love to come out if it wasn't on a Sunday morning! That's my only hold back. This weekend I'll be at the homie, but sundays are terrible as far as leagues for me unfortunately :(

OK Mirth, I have a deal for you. Consider this!
Come to Homie with me, I'll drive and pay all of your expenses for the day.
If the standings remain as-is I'll concede 2nd place to you and we'll split the merch value.
If Mike W. gets 10 points I'll concede 3rd place to you.
Tom S. won't be there-He's going downstate.
Play one of the best tournaments anywhere with the rest of the club gang and risk no more than $2.50 in merch.
lol, wish I could Mitch. That's a very generous offer.
However, there'd be nobody to run best shot then; plus I have a birthday party at my house that afternoon.
Mitch I have an offer for YOU, since you aren't paying Mirth's expenses for Sunday, you can sponsor me for Sunday. You pay my entry fee and I'll give you all the discs I win. Thats not a bad deal cuz Brian has excellent payouts and I've been playing pretty well lately :)
1 more addition: if I don't cash atleast 40 bucks, I will make up the difference with plastic from my own stock of brand new plastic.
Dan if you hadn't walked away last time we were partners leaving me to play off for points by myself, I might actually have considered your offer. ;D
deeam! zing!! :thefinger:
Burn! :confused2:
How could you leave your partner like that Dan ;)
