Hey all,
I'm about to place an order with Quest to pick up some of their Odyssey discs. Anyone have any requests or want to try out some of this plastic? Currently I plan on ordering 2 of their display racks (per rack: 6 drivers, 5 "all-condtion" drivers, 4 mid-range, 3 putters), and some of their 4-packs (1 of each) that include 2 minis as well.
I think they might have Scream discs available now as well, I'd have to call or email and check. If there is interest in those I can pick them up too.
Thanks,
Scott
the best advice i would have is to please NOT order any of this crap.
first of all i think the discs are ridiculous and nobody should be throwing them unless u just want to be different. secondly, u have no clue what ur going to get from them. quality control is not exactly an important issue to Quest disc golf. I do enjoy seeing the broken pieces of these garbage discs laying around the course.

Thanks for the info Dan. Out of curiosity - have you thrown any of them personally or going from hear/say? I've seen busted innova discs on the ground at courses too, so discs are going to break on you. I've heard about how the flight plate has shattered before? That's not surprising since it's 2 different types of plastic merged together.
Also... as far as the bad QC, is it just the coloring on the discs bad? The disc not put together correctly? What do you mean by that?
Thanks,
Scott

I don't know if you're giving breaking discs as the only reason to not throw these, but I've been playing with mine for about 3 months now, and have never broken a disc. I have seen 2-3 people with broken Odyssey's, but I have also picked up at least 6-7 broken Innova's in that time period also, so it's obviously not just their discs that break. From what I've seen, Quest has a policy that if their disc breaks, let them know, and they'll replace it. I don't know about the other companies and their policies on that. Also most of their broken discs from what I've heard came off of prototype runs, now they are using some rubbery material in the flightplate to make it less prone to break. Sure some may break, but it will take quite a bit of pounding to do so. I saw a demonstration from one of the sellers and he hit it about 10 times pretty hard with both hands, on a sharp corner before it finally broke, and it barely broke at that.
If you're dissing the discs because of the weird ledge in it, most people have said they don't like them at first, but once they play a round or so with them, they love the discs. I personally play great with them.
