Jon, are you guys going to add any more holes to allow for more players? Possibly fivesomes for overflow. Thanks, Scott

I'm allowing for that possibility on the score card.  What I'd rather do is run two pools and keep it to foursomes.  If somehow we had 180 players in one day, they'll all get in.  We have enough volunteers to do two pools on Saturday.  If an upper division Saturday player wants to stay over and help run the int/rec B-pool on Sunday, send me an IM.  If the tournament is reasonably successful, we'll reimburse entry fees for volunteers who play one day and work the other that we promised that to in advance.  We could be reasonably successful and not need a second pool on either day, but if you stayed and helped out, you'd still get reimbursed.

I really don't know what to expect for attendance.  We're doing this with Old Man's blessings, so maybe he is helping get the local player base out.  We're doing this to keep the tradition of the Peoria Open going during a year when PFC is a little short on volunteer resources for a lot of different reasons.  But we're doing it like an IOS with the emphasis on offering a generous tournament for amateurs and a 100% PDGA payout C-tier for the pros.  The last time we did something like this it was in Michigan and we had 110 total players and were reasonably happy with the whole thing.

If you enjoy the IOS show, its the same show in a much nicer theatre.  These are in the Top 5 Best Courses in Illinois according to Brett who has played most of the ones worth playing.

Getting amped up for this weekend. Hope to see a lot of the familiar disc golf faces out there. Weather looks to be 90+.

Courses looked great! Had a good time even with the heat. Glad there was a tourney down there this year so it gave me an excuse to play 2 of the best courses in the state. Congrats to Kris Hutter on winning the USDGC spot.

well i'm glad somebody brought it up, cuz i know we were all thinking it!  :)

i think Tom McManus is the only club member who has played more events than me this year (12), so he is the only one who should be calling me a biznatch.

Hey Bruce and Jon, we had a great time at the Peoria Open.  The heat was horrible, but everything else was great.  Well, maybe my scores weren't so great.  My husband beat me by 27 strokes.  That's just not right!  I have it calculated that any of my rounds under 801 will be dropped.  Hopefully McNaughton falls below that!  Anyhow, thanks for another good tourney!

That might be why the McNaughton round is not showing ratings.  The template might be dropping you from the gator list because you played so far below your ratings.  When Jon e-mails me the TD file, I'll see if I can get the Pro Master division included.

Neal, could you please clean up your posts on this thread please. The third grade potty talk is not welcome.

Thanks!

I really don't think we need to be introducing that kind of language into this Board.

I'll second that one! Still had a lot of fun though....

Sorry, did not know the FCC reached all the way to private message boards.

Good taste does. It's more fun to just burn him for not going & not get juvenile, but he's got a point in that he's played more events.
Tough to miss an event on the top courses in IL, but Dan must've had a reason. He's not the "Road Warrior" for nothing:

Mostly I let language slide when it is on threads that are off the beaten path. Since we (several Discontinuum members) just ran an event in Peoria and we just met some disc golfers in the area that we did not know before, it is reasonable to think that they might visit the club's site. I was embarrassed thinking that this thread might be the first thing that they read. Trash talk is one thing, third grade vulgarity is another.

I am glad you all have your opinions and ways of doing things, but I have different opinions and ways of doing things.  I thought that message boards were for giving your own opinions.  If you guys do not like what I post, than you can just edit it, I won't care.

Woops, that last post was me.

Oh and Damon thanks for bringing the private thing up, you were right, this is not in the club members only section.
