Post by: DiscGolfSchodt on August 10, 2006, 07:26:19 PM
This park is on Aptakistic and Buffalo Grove rd the tee pads are in.This looks like it is going to be a "pitch and putt" style course.By where hole one is going to be there is four tee pads in about a fifty yard radius. Some of the holes for the baskets are dug out.Wont be long before this course is ready to go!!

Rocky and I went and checked out this course last week...  We set up a skillshot for each hole and played the entire course.  VERY short, seems like it was definitely meant for kids.  First four holes are 200' or so.  5-7 are somewhere around 250.  8 is a very short 90 degree dogleg hole, and 9 is about 310' or so.  I think we each shot something like -6 the first time around.

what is wrong with people... c'mon.  Hopefully it was the PD removing it for some reason or another (maybe installed crooked or who knows what).  People have no respect.

yeah its been gone for about two weeks. It was the basket closest to the parking lot (that has lights but have not been turned on yet) I checked it out it was unbolted from the bottom and there was a drag mark in the snow leading to the parking lot.It totally sucks and the park dist. is not going to be happy. I hope they dont pull the course :'(

they wont remove it, but if you can recall the date and time of the drag marks then they might be on video tape

just out of curiosity ... wouldn't they be able to load up something from 2 weeks ago, see that the basket was already gone on the video, then go back another week, see if it is there or not, and if not, keep going back until they see a time when it is there?  Then you can narrow it down to when it disappeared and eventually find the actual theft with that methodology.  Unless they don't really care that much about a $400 piece of equipment stolen, you would think they would already have something like this in progress.

So stupid... this basket, Lombard's #13 last year... and last year I saw a bunch of "stereotypical" disc golfers who were playing Lombard for the first time (they were on a disc golfing road trip) and thought it would be fun to STAND on the basket for #15 while taking pictures.  morons.

I THINK THAT TURNING ON ALL THE LIGHTS THAT THEY INSTALLED AROUND THE PARKING LOT WOULD HELP
