Title: Disc Collectors
Post by: Younk on September 29, 2006, 02:29:48 PM
For those of you who collect discs, where are some good sites to research availability of color, weight, etc.

How do you have them displayed; ie: just hanging on the wall with a nail...etc?

I found this for CE Rocs:

for some trophy discs that I had custom made (by a mr. b. brakel), I bought 8" plate holders that have worked quite well for displaying single items.  You may want to use something other than that since it sounds like you are talking multiple discs, but it is at least *something* to consider.

Just use a duct tape X right over the stamp, works great.  :angel12:

Seriously though, I think Wrightlife.com has hangers speciaifically for discs. If not them then Discovering the World or Gotta Go Gotta Throw.

Yeah, I use plastic push pins.  The less you spend on hangers the more you can spend on discs.

Diana has a couple of collectibles she found deep in the spare bedroom closet:

Mint 168 gm CFR Archangel,  2004 Women's National's stamp

Near mint 173 gm Proto D Wasp, she says and it looks like it was thrown exactly once.

Mint 176 gm DX Viper, 1994 National Doubles stamp

If there is any interest, e-mail or pm me.
