Title: Discraft Torques are Discontinued!
Post by: stpitner on November 03, 2006, 01:13:13 PM
Well I wasn't expecting to find this article on discraft.com...

http://www.discraft.com/news_dg061031.html

I don't know if it's a hype thing or something that was legit.  Sounds really weird.  Well, I know that I still have some first runs of them :)

Very intriguing!

I have an even more rare custom stamp torq! Larry Labond had custom Torq's stamped for the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek Championships. Probably only 80ish out there. I can probably snag some if anyone wants any.

I did 30 of them for Byron Big D and the news made them go like hotcakes.  They were the ugliest green hotcakes I'd ever seen, with green colormax artwork and no product information stamped on them.  I thought they'd never sell when I saw them.

Thank you Jim Kenner for being that way about quality control!

Keith Murray is posting on PDGA.com that the Torque will be back in 2007.

Jim Kenner told me that you should not expect the Torque before the end of the summer.  Their production schedule is running at max.  They cannot afford to take a machine off production to experiment with how to get the Torque "right."

Even so, I currently have two ESP Torques.  They have slight blemishes in the hotstamp, but Discraft is satisfied with them otherwise.  $14 each.

I also have a half dozen ESP Flashes.  I cannot order these.  14 or 15 Brass, however they are marked.

And, FLX Challengers.
