Title: Illinois Disc Golf Rulez
Post by: Dan Michler on November 10, 2006, 04:52:14 PM
http://www.pdga.com/stats.php

Check out this page (PDGA points list dominated by Illinois and Michigain players) and realize that other people around the country aren't nearly as lucky as us when it comes to being able to play large scale disc golf tournaments on a regular basis.  Sure our courses in this area may not be of the caliber of some of the other sections of the country, but I'm happy I get to play real tournaments against a large competitive field on a weekly basis.

A large reason for this is the growth of the IOS.  Milwaukee Worlds next year should be huge!

You can't really compare pro points to advanced points, so Dan is really 6th.  You should go for the obelisk next year Dan.  I might go for another one next year.  Maybe I'll play Advanced rather than Pro Master.

Dan Treece moved up to open back in June or July I want to say. I know that Jeff Kuehle is moving up too. Who else is taking the jump next year?

I am debating on playing the Pro trophy only option next year. I sure as hell don't need any more plastic. Maybe I'll learn how to play from the big boys. ;)

At IOS events you can play pro trophy-only without cash if you donate like-new unmarked plastic.  You'd have to see me before you saw Becky though.  At the end of the transaction she has to have money in the till!

well hopefully my skill can at least get back to where it was in 2005 first of all, but going for the obelisk would be fun for sure.

however, i need Slater to play more like 40 instead of 50 events I think and I need to finish atleast top 50 at bowling green.  too bad Majors don't give points because I think I'll be at Am Nats, Mid Nats, and Worlds next year.

Make it a trifecta and come volunteer in Peoria for the last Illinois Babe Nats.
