Good luck to Neal at this event. This is a very strong field, right now there are over 30 1000 rated players registered for this tourney.
Yes this should be a lot of Fun. If I can cash it would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. Odds are I am paying 225$ to watch.
I think on that course Neal has a shot at the cash. They have a lot of Big D holes. It is always a different bunch who cash at Byron Big D Doubles.

Its still early but you might be right. Most, but not all, of the first round scores are up. Neal is tied 20th and 2 strokes from tied for 7th. He is in front of a lot of well known players. Neal is at +1. Barry is lights out -8. Climo is -4.

Well, his chances would be better if he were not doing so well after the first round. Brett can explain this. >:D
I was going to add that par is pretty close to a 1000 rated round, and then double check from past scores, but this is the first year they've sanctioned it. Last year they did it unsanctioned because the PDGA would not let them do it as a Major.
lets go neal...solid first round
His card should be in any minute now...
looks like not a good day today for neal. he's sitting +8, 22 strokes off the lead.
Neal tore it up today with a 1043 rated round. he is going to cash.
$275. Might pay for his entry fee and meals.
Nice to see Avery win one. Valerie is his sister and his mom and dad play too. They've got the second generation thing going pretty good.
wow, barry must have blown up on that last round.

Nice shooting Neal! Hopefully he ate from the dollar meal at McDonald's all weekend. Entry fee was $250.
Congratulations Neal cashing at a major must feel good ;D
Whatever happened between Climo and Feldberg on the mini course seemed to pump Feldberg up. I like that. I'm like that too. Every time some competitor gets in my face about some b.s. early in the day, I play well.

i would agree with that :) i can remember 3 heated confrontations during tourneys, twice i shot really good and the other time (Huspen related situation) I sucked. 2 of 3 ain't bad!
Way to cash Neal
Thanks for your Support everyone. I wanted to kill my self after hole 6 in the 2nd round, I triple bogied holes 5 and 6, went OB and then three putted on both of them. I also bogied hole 1 which I birdied first round. My last round I just played a lot safer and got a couple good birdies, finally made some good putts to. Watched Barry the last round and he gave up. He was not shooting good and then on hole 18 he throws into the bunker OB, does not even think about a 60 footer, fires immediatly and almost makes it but landes about 15 feet away and then bag putts it with his chair in his and and chains out. Cost hom about 500$.
That's disappointing to hear that he couldn't just accept the loss and finish out strong. Can't win em all!
Congrats to you though, very cool to go down there and do that.
Big ups to ya Neal
Nice job Neal. Did you get to play with Schwebbie, or anyone else famous (in the disc golf world that is)?
