Todd congrats on getting accepted to Western Kentucky. Bowling Green is not a college town in the sense that Dekalb or Champaign is a college town. But it is a nice area and there is more going on than just the university. Not too big of a town but looks like plenty to do. Not sure what you are going to major in, but if you are going to minor in disc golf, I think that you can't go wrong with this choice.

there are police everywhere Todd, and if they see you so much as thinking about touching alcohol, its big trouble in the Fanning household.
there are alot of courses in the area though which would be sweet if i was going to college there. 1 of them is pretty nice and the others aren't really that great.
Bowling Green is not a bad town. The campus seems pretty nice from what I saw last April. There are definitely a lot of hot girls around. To me, the best course of the four played at the BG tournaments is Keirakes, which happens to be the closest course to campus (and where all the girls seem to run). The other courses provide a good mix of styles, but are nothing special. Hobson Grove is mainly a short, wooded technical course. White is a gigantic field with maybe 2 trees on the whole course (slight exaggeration). It's long and the only challenge is the wind and if you play all the paths OB. Lovers Lane is an easy course where you can go very low. Wind comes into play sometimes, but is of average length with little trouble. Keriakes features HUGE evergreens that eat discs and has a good variety of holes. You can shoot real low there, but can also shoot some ugly scores.
Definitely would agree with Tom in terms of the town, mid-size lots to do, but not a pure campus town by any means.
acedeuce is right, there were a ton of females jogging/walking at Keriakes. That would be the place to be if you go there cuz its a really nice course too.
I think bowling green is fun for a mid-size college town. Ive had a good time every time Ive been down there. I have a few friends that are still in school there and they like it. I spent more of my time at parties than on the disc golf course at BG this year. I had a good time despite how terrible I played.
