Lookn to get out and rip a few later today. Thinkn of playn in Highland Park or going out to lake shore and practicing wiht my portable. Thinkn some time between 3.30 and 5, So if your intrested hollar at me 734-972-4948.
If you can stay later I know that some guys from the Disc Golf alley club will be at Fink starting at 5pm for their first league night. I'm not sure if you have to be a club member or not to play. Perhaps the first time is free but then future league nights you would have to be a member... something like that. But yeah, they'll be out there at 5 tonight.
ohhhhh, sounds interesting! Might just have to try going aorund then! Thanks!
We will be playing leagues Mondays and Thursdays at the Highland Park courses, starting at 5:00 tonight.
This week is at Fink, and next week is at Cunniff Park, and then back to Fink, and so on. It is on a rotating schedule by week.
There is no fee to play. We mainly play for tags.
However, there is an optional $5.00 fee for those that wish to do a little side betting.
And, Joe:
J.R. Plans on being at Fink on Thursday. So, if you are thinking about coming, he might have your disc with him.
E-Roc
Yep, I'll be there Thursday. I might be up there Tuesday also. Sadly I can't make opening league night.
Joe, let me know if you're coming Thursday and I'll bring your Buzz. Otherwise, let me know how I can get it to you.
As the days get even longer will you be moving back the start time? Its tough for me to get to HP from the loop for 5pm but I might be able to sometimes. It might be worth leaving work early since I could bike up to these courses. Proximity often trumps desirability. FInk and Cuniff ain't much but they are close.

I work in the loop too and usually ride to work when it's nice. If you do ride up to Fink for leagues some night and want company, let me know. I am really out of shape right now, but give me a month and I should be ok. Just rode today for the first time this year.
Does the Metra go to Highland Park at all? If the start time was pushed back a bit as the days get longer I too may be able to make it out if I can work out the logistics of getting there. Life is rough working in the loop. :(
I plan on being there tonight! As for Thurs, I'm not sure, it depends on the weather. But expect to see me to be active in the league.
P.S. Doctor Tran is my hero! Did you hear that he's a real doctor?

Metra does go to Highland Park and runs on pretty regular intervals. You can find a schedule at www.metrarail.com
However, the station in downtown HP is at least a couple of miles from either course.
I have no problem pushing back the start times as the days get longer. It is really up to all those who plan on being there.
I happen to be one of the lucky ones, and work in Lake Forest (next to Bears Headquarters) ;D
and get off work between 2:30 and 3:30...depending when I show up in the morning.
Don't worry Tom, I am still a die hard Packer fun. I get a lot of grief at work from time to time.
Working in loop & trying to make any sort of evening legaues for FTL
I work in the loop and take the Metra north line home everyday. A train leaves Ogilvie (Loop) at 4:30. You actually get off at Ravinia for Fink (NOT Ravinia Park, this is the one after it.) It's closer than the Highland Park stop, but less trains stop there. The 4:30 train gets into Ravinia at 5:07. 3:35 gets in at 4:21. From there it's about a 1.5-2 mile walk to Fink. I've walked it before. I'm betting someone would be willing to pick you up as it's less than a 5 min drive.
Also, Taylor if they move leagues to 5:30, I plan to take the 4:35 to Ravenswood and drive from there. I'd be happy to give you a ride up and back. That goes for anyone living on the North side of the city.
If they stay at 5, I'll take the 3:35 and drive, but won't be able to do it as often. Still can give rides.
PM me if your interested.
