Yeah I know you all, or at least those who remember me, are sick of these threads of mine, but lets all play along ayways Okay? Good =)
So what discs are in your bags? And why?
As for me I'm still sorting out which drivers I like these days so thats sporadically changing, but my midgame is set..
Drivers
In works, but I generally go to the Beast (DX, though picked up a Star)
Currently experimenting with the ESP Surge, ESP FLX Surge, Pro Rogue, RIDT, DX Wraith, Star Wraith
Mid Range:
"S" Demon G5 - 175g : Headwind/hard hyzer midrange (x2)
"S" Element (proto) - 175g : Standard midrange disc (x2)
"E" Element X - 175g [Chalky] : Slightly more stable than the Element
"S" Demon G5i - 175g : These used to be my midrange of choice, but lost them. I finally found some again so I will see where, if at all, they fit in. Stability between the Elements and G5i Demon (x2)
Put & Approac
"S" Wizard [Firm] : Duh (x2)
Speciality
"S" Speed Demon 172g : Exteme Headwind, Skip, Pan shots
"SE" Valk 169g : Big turnover/rollers
Drivers:
Champ/CE Firebird (meathooks)
Star Teerex (Headwinds and overstable distance)
Star Wraith (wide-open distance)
Champ Teebird (just about everything from 280-350 or so)
CE Leopard (understable driver, works great for tunnel shots)
Midrange:
S Demon (headwinds & spike hyzers)
Buzzz for everything else (Z and ESP)
I also have a super beat DX Roc that I throw when I absolutely need something to burn right
Putter:
Soft Wizards... Drive with them until they are beat, then use them as putters
DX Aviar
just added Wizard (have no idea what plastic/just like star)
DX Roc
KC Roc
Z Wasp
Champ Orc
CFR Wraith
CE Valkyrie
CE Eagle
Star TeeRex
Pro Firebird
X Buzz for midrange shanks
Star Coyote new midrange shank disc that i'm trying out
Champ Orc my main driver since 2003, i try to lose as many as possible
Star Firebird i found it and its very stable, good for spike hyzers and strong headwinds
Star Max new disc i never use, its about like the Star Firebird, maybe more stable
Star Teerex its a little beat, not sure what the difference between it and my Star Wraith is
Star Wraith long distance stable driver, usually use it or the Teerex if its too windy for the Orc
DX Leopard super beat for roller shots only, sometimes use a super beat DX Beast instead
Champ Monster For thumbers only.
DX Aviar for approaches
Rattler i don't know wat the hell is going on anymore.
pro wraith
star teerex
champ orc
champ teebird
CE valkyrie
champ firebird
Z Buzzz's
z wasp
KC aviar
It would be interesting to compare this to my old list because so much has changed since last year...
Drivers:
Star Wraith 170g - primary driver
CFR Wraith 175g - straighter than my star wraith
Star Teebird 175g - primary fairway/shorter drive disc
Star Sidewinder 175g - good slightly understable disc, I use this if I want to make a tight-S to weave around trees.
Star Roadrunner 172g - primary understable disc for those silly righty holes (since I'm a lefty)
Quest Inferno 176g - very understable yet goes insanely far for me. As long as it's not too windy and I need a disc to go left and pretty far this is a perfect disc.
Quest Raging Inferno DT 175g - playtesting this disc - great for low-line drive shots and will really glide.
Discraft Surge 169g - if I want to toss something with good glide and will hook more than my wraith, I'll toss the surge. I can get some crazy distance out of this disc sometimes.
Star TeeRex 175g - I was flipping the 168g TeeRex, so I went heavier because I want something with a lot of hook or if I put it on a low, tight hyzer line I get a sweet skip from it.
Mid-Range:
Star Stingray 177g - I miss my old dyed champ Stingray 178g, but I throw this understable disc for huge arc anhyzer shots that get me out of trouble or a short hole that needs a righty bend to it.
Champion Gator 175g? - a nice overstable mid-range that will hook right around a tree for me and skip up to the basket. tough to throw, but very helpful!
Champion Spider "Yoda" 175g - very straight mid-range that will give me just that little bit more distance that I need that will do better than my putter.
Putters:
Discraft Banger-GT 174g - my overstable putter, love that thumb grip!
Gateway Soft Wizard 175g - my primary putter, very straight
I think that's all of them, there's a few others that I try out every now and then, but that's the core!
175g EXP1 1.7
175g Z Crush *
174g QOLF
168g SOLF
171g SOLS *
168g Polaris LS
178g 1st run Z Buzzz *
180g Buzzz GT
180g ESP Comet
175g Medium S Wizard
175g Soft S Wizard *
* 90-95% of all throws with these discs

Not what I was saying at all. I was saying that my game isn't the greatest & if I pulled out a knife every time I get beat, either a lot of people would be hurt or I'd be someone's b*tch in jail. Plus, I'm short & my reach is about 2', kinda like a T-rex, but not as scary. ::)
Anywho, you're rated higher right now....

Last off topic post, I swear. (at least in this thread)
I knew what you meant. Just takin the opportunity to bash my stellar DG abilities.
Anyway, my rating is based on only one tourney and if I continue to play like I have been lately, it's headin down fast.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program...
In an attempt to make amends for my egregious violation of the basic principals of message board etiquette, I will post on topic. I'm not all that good, so I didn't figure anyone would care what's in my bag, but here you go:
Champ Valkyrie (175, brand new) for long straight drives
Champ Valkyrie (170, slightly beat up) for big S drives or big turnover shots, tailwind
DX Valkyrie (175, beat to hell) throw straight, turns over and never comes back. Max anhyzer D
Champ Orc (175) Long and straight with a fade or mild wind
Elite X Avenger (170) Big S drive when new, big turnover disc when broken in
DX Wraith (175, brand new) Headwind straight or hyzer
DX Firebird (?) Strong headwind drives
KC Pro Gazelle (175?) Very straight with predictable fade. More precise, not as long as the Valk
KC Pro TeeBird (175) Just found this and haven't figured out if it fits in my bag or not. Straighter than the Valk (obviously), and more glide, sometimes longer too.
LS Polaris (173?) straight when new, then really flippy. Only use for mid distance forehand drives
KC Pro Roc (175, mid beat) basically all drives under 275 that are straight, or dogleg left shorter holes and for approaching
DX Glow Roc (175, beat) turnover or sometimes approach
Champ USDGC Roc (179) for when the wind turns over my KC Pro Roc
Flx Buzz (17?) still figuring out where/if it fits in my bag. Longer than the Roc and really straight
DX Stingray (175, beat to hell) Roller, approach forehand, short/lots of turnover
Champ and DX Aviar (175) for putting. Haven't made up my mind yet.
Elite X Storm (173?) putting in med-strong headwind. Ok, that's bizarre, but it seems to work for me.
And a few others I just screw around with, but which don't seem to fit anywhere. I'm still figuring out what I like, so this is a strange, failry incoherent mishmash of discs.
And obviously I'm not a very powerful thrower. I tend toward understable stuff as it goes pretty straight for me. And my forehand is really weak, so I use really understable stuff (and very rarely throw forehand). My point being that most good players probably wouldn't use these discs the way I do.
Sorry to be so long winded.
10x Banshee 170 = grippy stable pig.
1st run Pro LIne Firebird FX 166 = very stable pig.
2 10x Eagles 170 + 168 = Main driver. Best disc ever!
Star Valk 169 = Distance Driver.
1st run Pro Line Leopard 174 = long Roc.
ESP Wasp 178 = Stable mid range.
ESP Buzz 177 = Straight mid range.
D Buzz 178 = Straight/turn over mid range.
SE Ryno 175 = Straight approch shots.
Wizard 175 = Stable driving putter.
Warlock 175 = Staight putter.
I had a chance to throw in a field the other day as well as play today and the surge and rogue combo are definately going in the bag at this point!
Discs fly differently for different folks, but I cannot get over how long and straight the Rogue is. I want to throw the FLX Surge tomorrow.
Yep, and I am a fan of the rogue & surge =)
