Title: Business Trip to ChiTown
Post by: amdiscgolfer on April 11, 2007, 05:40:25 PM
I was just told by the powers that be that I am going to Chitown for a Microsoft Seminar the week of April 30th.  I guess I am staying at a hotel somewhere in Chicago and figured as long as I was down there depending on the weather I would bring the plastic and play some courses.

There is only one problem....I am taking the train down to save on gas and mileage.

Which bring me to the not so proud moment of asking who wants to show me around the fine courses around ChiTown?

I know I am such a moocher :)

I'll have more details as to when the seminar times are and were I'll be located soon.

Jeff

Small change in plans - I will be driving down now - after figuring that the train ride and the car ride is about the same on Sunday.

I figure with driving down I have a little more availability to play courses outside Chi-town.

My Training is in Downtown ChiTown - I am on Monroe and LaSalle but my hotel is a 20 minute walk north from there.

How long does a round at EdgeBrook take?

I am thinking about playing edgebrook tomorrow (Tuesday) I get out around 4:30 is there enough daylight to get back to my hotel, get the car, drive to the course and play a round?

It's going to take you forever to drive to Edgebrook at 5pm. The train stop is only a couple of blocks away from the course. I'd suggest taking the train.

due to an unforseen event (BAD FOOD, don't go to Millers Pub and get the Cod Sandwich) I will not be playing a round today.

I will check the weather and maybe Thursday.  I have to get out and play that course!!!!!!!!
