I was watching the PDGA board, and the Innova thread had this:

Hi Dave,
Would there ever be a possibility of a Flat-top (or Ching stamped...not sure what you guys at Innova call them) Roc in any material other than DX? Possibly KC Pro or Super?
Thanks,
RustyP

As far as I know, the process only works on DX. However, you might try a Sentinel. It is essentially a flat Roc in Pro.
Have they changed the Sentinel? I thought it was made from the Cobra mold when it came out. Maybe Dunipace considers the Cobra essentially a "Flat Roc?" This may be a nowhere question, since Millennium seems to be off the map these days. Does anybody outside of Texas actually throw any Millennium discs other than the Orion anymore?
Sorry, I can't ask this on the PDGA board. I'd actually have to renew to do that. Maybe after Guru leaves ... ;D

The only ones I have seen felt exactly like super flat rocs.

All my primary drivers are Millennium. I carry Exp 1, 2 SOLF, OLS, SOLS, and 3 Polaris LS. I landed on these through trial and elimination of lots of molds, not by trying to throw all Millennium (it just kind of happened that way). The SOLF is really making a big splash all over and is a really tremendous disc. Super long and very contollable/accurate. The JLS has its fan base as well. I haven't bothered to try their mids as I'm really happy with the Buzzz, but people seem to really praise the QMS and the SentinelMF on some other forums. The Sentinel is supposed to be a killer stable to overstable mid. There's really no good place locally to get them. I asked Bruce at IOS 1 and he said he had had trouble contacting people at Millennium. I really like their stuff, and their plastic (pro), so I throw them.

I thought spinning off the marketing of Millenium to Houck was dumb idea at the time. It simply made it impossible to carry their discs. Before I could buy a dozen Millenium discs with a 200 Innova order and get the 200 price. I can't order 200 Millenium discs.
The Innova/Millennium partnership was really putting a dent in things in the late 90's. I was selling discs back then, and I couldn't keep the Polaris LS or Omega SS in stock. They really proved that people would pay for better plastic. It just seemed that after the EXP 1, Innova lost interest as they moved on with KC Pros and Champion Plastic. Houck has the Circle R and the million things he does, so Millennium went kind of dormant. The Orion LS & LF and the Quantum and Sirius plastics seem to show they are back in the game, which is good. Houck is a good guy to have in the mix. Now, can he make it work without Innova distributing...???
Discraft lets guys throw DGA. I wonder if Innova ever let guys throw Millennium? Just a thought...
I threw the Sentinel for awhile. Add it to the list...Hammer, ROC, Spitfire, Panther, Hawk, Vortex, Comet, Aurora, Sentinel, MRX, Wasp, Buzzz, Element X...lots of good mid-range discs in my past. You only need one. I was just wondering if I can find out what I want to know from that pile of old discs in the basement, or if I needed to buy a new Sentinel.
Stocking discs from anybody other than Innova was always a headache. Nothing else ever moved enough to keep on top of demand. I got sick of it and used to order everything from Rick Rothstein. That way I could stock whatever I needed and not have to wait. I got tired of the "I've had 20 people ask me for Cyclones and I'm totally out but I've only sold 25 other Discraft disc total and won't be able to order from them for another three months" problem. I paid a little more that way, but I always had a good selection on hand and sold more plastic. Hell, for a while in St. Louis other people who sold discs would come calling and pay retail because they couldn't get what I had, and they needed it to keep their customers happy. After I established that I was going to order over 500 discs a year (which was his lowest price break at the time) Rick let me make smaller orders and gave me the 500 piece price. It took a lot of the headache of managing the inventory away for me, I could just call Disc Golf World and order what I needed regardless of who made it. Ah, but that was back in the dark ages before ebay and online stores. I bet it's a lot more complicated these days.
I've thought of going that route, but I'd probably work with Breiner.
BTW, if anyone has any Polaris 1.15 or 1.16 around new or used, let me know and I'll gladly trade or pay for them.
My brain tells me to shut up, but...

Disc Golf World did a fabulous job for me. I had no complaints at all. I used other guys who saved me .05 or .10 cents a disc, but they either couldn't get me what I wanted OR would just send me whatever they had a lot of regardless of what I ordered . Rick and Chappy always did right by me. They sent me some first-runs of new stuff to attract collectors and kept me stocked up on the hot-selling stuff. I'm not telling anybody what to do, they just did such a good job that I feel like I owe it to them to toot their horn a little bit. If they would have done an OK job I would have kept my mouth shut.
I never ordered from Todd, but they have been around awhile so they must do something right. Like I said, not trying to tell anybody what to do. I've been out of the plastic parade for long enough that even I know I don't know much anymore. I hope I didn't step on anybody's toes.

Wow, I'm getting old. All I found were 1.2's & 1.3's. I guess I didn't give the Polaris much of a shot.
