Nice article. Is hole 18 still the longest in Illinois? I thought that one of Edgebrook's from the long tees was in the 900+ range? It's been over a year since I played there because of my back so maybe I'm remembering it incorrectly.

Probably the new course in Calumet City has several holes longer.

Huh. I always thouht Calumet City was in Indiana. I thought this course was just over the border. Well, live and learn! At 13,000+ feet I'm sure most of it's holes are longer than #18 at Fairfield!

Good PR and good interview by Brett.  In our ongoing quest to get a championship course in Lake County its nice to see them note that the President is a middle school teacher and former college baseball player.  Every little bit helps in our image campaign.Hopefully the Forest Preserve Board people will see this piece. It looks like that putt was going to hit the front rim.  :(
