Free lunch, Homie preview event. See you guys there.
free lunch sounds good

Anyone not playing Am Worlds this week should put this on their calendar. I went out there Saturday & the course looks great. Baskets were almost done being painted on the Red course, Blue was already done. (ie. Blue course has Blue baskets, Red course has Red)
I've got room for 1 person in my truck if anyone wants to carpool from Downers Grove. (unless I can convince my brother to play his first tournament!)
What's the expected turnout given that Am Worlds is going on?

This is why I said anyone not playing....
Personally, I think that only the Advanced division would really be affected by Am Worlds. Possibly some Intermediates that can play Advanced that are taking advantage of Am Worlds won't be there. But the turnout wasn't huge last year without Am Worlds next door. Last year's results on PDGA showed 23 Intermediates & about 20 Adv.
i wish i could go... silly dad responsibilities :P just kidding of course
wakka wakka...bump

What more can I say? You know you'll be throwing somewhere on Sunday anyhow, might as well earn PDGA points, get free lunch, and play a great venue.
I'll bring $ for sidebets if anyone I know is there..... >:D

Good luck to you Brett & all!!
Indiana States was fun, but probably my lowest rated rounds of the year. Hope they're too low to go against my rating, 'cause they were baad.
Who won the open and advanced divisions? Any new pros cash?
didnt stay for the final 6 holes the top cards were playing
i have to question the use of two baskets on blue 8
and no signage for red a and red b
and not a good T marking for blue a
major confusion and i listed closely to what Brian was saying as thats were we started
course took its toll on my body ( foot blisters )
but mentally i was fine
unlike someone in my group the second round
talk about meltdown it was just too funny
what really sucked was that he was a foot closer than me for a CTP in the woods
next time im going really work the kid as i thought his scoring was questionable
he better hope he never gets me in his group again
what a meow
hey dumbass we're out here trying to have some fun not solve world peace
but overall the courses were great
met some good people from schumbard, nappanee and evansville and rudy the local
thx to Brian and everyone involved
see u at the HOMIE !!!!!!

I didn't stay either, per my baad rounds post.
Have to disagree slightly, they had a white spray paint "A" on the red course directing you.
Agree with the Tee marking for Blue A. I started 2nd round there & it took me a minute to find it.
That was the only time I was confused.
He had plenty of printouts of the temp hole footage & where you should tee from or which basket to play towards. If people didn't listen they got screwed & in reality should've taken the 2 stroke penalty for not playing the specified course.
Those courses are pretty sweet and I had a fun day but it was one of the longest days in my tournament history! I finally ended up leaving the park around 8pm and the awards ceremony was still going on. Had I not placed 7th in Intermediate I would have left much earlier.
Holy crap! That's way too freaking late. Considering I finished my round & left about 5:30 - 5:45, to have the awards ceremony still going on at 8 is crazy. I realize they did a final 6 for Pro & Adv, but that's nuts!
u have to remember
the locals are in no hurry
and its a great course
even with the instructions and the announcements there was some confusion
when blue 8 says 500ft ant the original is 350 ft
and u can see the original basket and not the temp
it took me the 2 minute warning to convince the group to throw toward the long basket
players in my group did get stroked for not playing the correct course the first round
so they were gun shy
somehow i miss placed my sheets
there also needs to be a drop zone on the water hole blue 10
u throw in the lake - hey its gone - go to a spot and try to recover accordingly
again running T's is not an exact science
the more people the more variables come into play
again thx to the IN guys for running it and the park people also
