Title: Portland courses
Post by: roman on August 23, 2007, 08:23:37 AM
So I finally decided to venture out and play one of the courses here in Portland, OR yesterday. I don't know if I'll ever be satisfied with Chicago area courses again  :'( This course was great, and I hear there are even better ones out here (which I will try to hit up today). I got there just in time for their local doubles league and played a round. Almost everyone here can throw pretty good rollers and they need to with the number of trees these courses have. Lots of trees and lots of elevation changes.

That's the course I played yesterday. Some of the holes really need you to be accurate. Hole 15 is easy to bogey. I have no clue how my disc found the line yesterday but we ended up throwing par on it. 350+ feet going downhill then uphill through that forest. If you look straight above the dude's head that's where the basket is. Hole 14 also requires you to have good aim, but at least once you hit that opening in the first line of trees you're mostly in the clear unlike 15 where it's all woods.
