Brett is this your gig?

Yes

They contacted me earlier this summer. I'm hoping someone comes. I'm getting big bucks. Some free copies of an information packet and a free link to the discontinuum website.

I work near the REI in Oakbrook Terrace... I'll see if anybody else from my work wants to come out.  There are 2 new people at work that haven't played disc golf yet - just ultimate - and are interested in disc golfing.

I won't be able to make it because I have to make sure everything gets done for my move, but I hope it goes well!

Only 5 showed up tonight but it was a good time. 4 of the 5 had never played disc golf. They walked away with a sweet information packet & some knowledge of the game.

Were any of them either named John P. or Gaurav V.?  I invited about 11 guys from my work to go check it out, but I never had any responses from anybody saying that they were going to go.

I'm glad that there was at least 5!  Baby steps :)

side note - it was kind of funny when I was at the post office yesterday.  I had about 25 discs to ship out, and the packing process was going pretty slow.  I wasn't in the main room where the tellers were, but one of the managers noticed I was there when helping another customer.  She saw my stack of stuff and came over to talk to me (she knows me since I'm a regular).  She didn't recognize the discs at first, but she immediately recognized the name of the sport AND knew about the Oak Brook and Summit courses.  So the people you LEAST expect to know about the sport are finding out about it, and slowly but surely this sport will keep spreading and become bigger and better!  But it takes stuff like teaching at REI to help spread the word, so nicely done on doing that!

Tom & I were at Hoffman Estates today. Quite a few people stopped by. There is also a new course in the works.

I don't know who is running this, or the details of the park {new course or temp basket(s)?}, but I figure it was worth bringing attention to.

Straight off REI's website - through the Schaumburg store location.
