Title: North Shore Greek Fest
Post by: Jon Brakel on August 31, 2007, 06:50:09 AM
The guy that I share an office with, Kostas, sends his daughter to the Hellenic American Academy on Saturdays to learn the ways of her Greek heritage. Anyway, they have a Greek fest every year on Labor Day weekend in Deerfield. If you want to enjoy some Greek food, music, etc. and have the time, you should check it out.

North Shore Greek Fest

The Hellenic American Academy in Deerfield invite you to a festival of authentic Greek food, pastries and coffees, a Taverna, live and DJ music, dancing, children's games and entertainment, folk dance performances, a Greek Gourmet Market with 500 unique food products, plus art, craft and souvenir shops. Plenty of free parking. Admission is $2, under 12 free. Spend an evening in Greece - no passport required. Fri. & Sat. Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, 4 PM to Midnight. Sun. & Mon. Sept. 2 & 3, 2 PM to 10 PM.
