1. Club Finances/Ways to Generate Income
Club finances look good. 1577.33 in the bank, 2073.00 in petty cash, 367.61 in PayPal which equals $4017.94 in cash. The club is currently holding $1291.39 in wholesale disc golf discs and accessories. 2007 club memberships: 124
Upcoming bills: PDGA Affiliate Club Renewal, Sate Sales Taxes (currently &83) and the Illinois Annual Report ($5)
The Board agreed that the club has plenty of income for current plans. If the opportunity presents itself for the club to sponsor a course or some other similar project then the board will look toward specific project fund raising to meet the needs of the project. The Board agreed that there is no reason to look for ways to generate new income at this time.
2. Bevier Park
It's an 18 hole course now. The Fly Pads are doing well. Thanks to everyone that helped make this happen.
3. Membership Goals & Long Term Plans
We're planning on keeping doing what we're doing...it has been very successful so far! We are planning to have another bag tag design contest for 2008 bag tags. We will probably be looking at doing the tags in a different material for 2008.
4. Disc Golf Clinic
Brett's done a couple of clinics. We're also looking at doing a club clinic with a top pro participating.
5. 2008 Elections
We'll be having club elections for all Board positions in November. Anyone interested in running for a position should look on this board for when we are accepting nominations.
6. Other items?
The Board has decided to schedule the next meeting as an online meeting. It will be Wednesday, October 10th at 8:30pm in the Discontinuum chat room. Look for more details as the date comes closer.

The meeting was short, the pizza was good. It was a great day and I understand why not very many people wanted to give up an hour of it for a club meeting!

I'm hoping someone steps up to run this year. It's time for some new blood in office. I'd prefer to step down at the end of the year. I have a lot of ventures i'd like to pursue and i'm spending less time with club operations each year. If you are interested please run for office.

This sounds like a great idea seeing as this is the "meeting place" where we all come to get info & see what's going on in our local disc golf scene.
Where is the chat room? I saw it for about a week and it disappeared for me.

Hopefully everyone remembers that we're having our first online club meeting tomorrow night in the Discontinuum chat room at 8:30pm.
How does one get to the chat room? Does one have to be invited by the moderator, or can one walz right in?
One can waltz right in. It should be the last button on the Main Menu on the left, right below Links & directly above the User Toolbar.
If you don't see Chat or the User Toolbar, log out of the site using the menu on the left and log back in.

Are you not seeing the Chat option or what exactly is the problem?
make sure you allow popups as it opens in another window.
